In PA, Fetterman is afraid to debate Dr. Oz

500 murders in 2020. There were 277 in 2015.

Where did Fetterman suggest releasing murderers from prison?
Every time, he stated they could reduce the prison population by 1/3 and be perfectly fine........They have done that, and they are NOT fine.

If Oz had a brain in his head (certaintly debatable) every ad he runs, every speech he gives should be about crime..........

I provided the stats on the number of people currently in jail in Philadelphia county. Doesn't show any reduction of 40% of prisoners.

He apparently cast one vote the entire time.

He in a stroke of brilliance and virtue signaling stupidity put in place carbon caps on a community that was dirt poor... Carbon caps = hard hats that.......shockingly did not bring back any jobs....

Fetterman went to Harvard so he gets to pretend to know things....do we know if ever took a class with Harvards first woman of color Professor Elizabeth Warren.....??? That would explain everything, phoniness begets phoniness........

I am just going to let that sit there, while every Democrat on this board convinces themsleves that the Democrat party is not run by a group (corrupt) barely functional mental retards.
No...Fetterman's carbon caps idea did not bring back jobs. It didn't cost any jobs either.

Most people did not think it was possible but it is a statistical fact that Braddock PA was worse after Fetterman then it was before.

But ya know facts as usual are always a problem, too bad ya can't shoot those twice.
And just where are those statistics?

If that is what your stats show, they are wrong.

Over the last five years, the MacArthur Foundation has invested $9.9 million into Philadelphia's criminal justice reform efforts. The funding is part of the foundation's Safety and Justice Challenge, a $245 million national initiative to change the way America uses its jails.

Since the initiative began in Philadelphia, the local prison population has decreased by 43%. The city has closed its House of Corrections and avoided the construction of a new prison.

By 2022, the initiative aims to reduce the city's jail population by 58% from its 2015 level. With the new grant money, the city will target the following reform measures:

Again, how is that working out for Philadelphia and the surrounding area, 500 murders..... I would say not well and Fetterman is all for it!!!

Right, they had no jobs when he came, and they had no jobs when he left.......
and applying carbon caps in a decimated community helped them again how?

(There is no climate crisis so perhaps you would like to explain how carbon caps or any of that other bullshit has ever helped anyone anywhere..... you can start by asking the people in Sri Lanka how all that is going for them.)

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.

Nice work - and don't expect an honest response from the hack lefty posters. By their measure all those loosed prisoners running the streets are leading exemplary lives. Must be MAGA sickos running around murdering all those folks.

Virtue signaling is more important than jobs (or personal wealth) to the lefties. It is an end in and of itself.

I would never expect an honest response, I have learned that much in all the years on here and in Slate before that.

Philly and the surrounding county reduced its prison population by 40% and ended up with 500 Murders. Fetterman is famous for stating repeatedly that they could reduce the prison population by 1/3 and nobody would be less safe.......

No Democrat will ever go ask the families of the 500 people in Philly and the surrounding county how that worked out for them....

Fetterman is an embarassment, if you gave money to the DNC and this is what they are asking you to support you should be pissed.
And you are 100% correct about the idiot Republicans - every ad they run should be about rising crime.

Ok...so I gave you the population of people in jail. The number of people in prison is far smaller. Those accused of murder are not eligible for bail and stay in jail until trial.
From their numbers the 2015 baseline is 8,082 prisoners and now down to 4,465.

The point is, the crime rate has sky rocketed, Fettermans claim (which he has made repeatedly) that the prison population could be reduced 1/3 and nobody would be less secure, is utterly FALSE.

Yet he is still all for it.

Yes, but those accused of assault with a deadly weapon are free to go (and finish the job). You really have lost all credibility here, defending the policies that are leading to massive increases in violent crime everywhere they are implemented.

You have not established a link between the prison program and crime. Got any stats on recidivism?
