Us finalizing plans to send Abrams tanks to Ukraine

F$&k Russia.

Seems unimpressed with Putin's bluff at this point in the game
Your link:

"Pentagon and White House officials have denied that the risk of escalation with Russia has had anything to do with the US decision to delay a decision on sending the tanks. Rather, the concern has been how difficult it would be for Ukrainian forces to operate and maintain the Abrams tank and whether it would be effective on the battlefield in Ukraine."

If Abram tanks arrive in Ukraine, will that lead to more or fewer dead Ukrainians by this time next year?

Pretty much a no-brainer that there will be more dead ukrainians. If you can describe how they might achieve less deaths during an active invasion, I'm all ears?

Meanwhile, ukrainians will continue to blow Russians away

Even if the US were to offer to train a few hundred Ukrainian soldiers on maintenence and operations, it would mean that our tanks could be in country in a couple of days if needed. Why wait? If Belarus were to allow an invasion from the north or even commit their own troops....the sudden need could be met quickly. We have more than 1,000 of those tanks in storage.

If Belarus even approaches the Ukrainian border they should be met there with whatever Ukraine, NATO, The US and Britain have including Air Power, Tanks, Artillary, Drones and whatever else can be mustered by the free world. These animals need to be taught a lesson. Word must go out that any foreign invaders entering Ukraine will be sent home in a box. Time to quit messing around with these ass holes for good.

It seems to me that we have a number of weapons systems that should be prepared for deployment to Ukraine. Especially longer range artillery/rocket systems. Make both Putin and Lukashenko sweat a little. Maybe a spooky gunship or a MOAB or two?

The standard moron response.

Right, no risk of escalation into a wider war and lets also set aside the fact that we can't even track half the stuff we have already given them.

But hey.... virtue signal away...
Yes, that was the standard moron response. Thanks for the warning of what you were about to post.

In fact, the usual environment in a war does not lend itself to accurate accounting of ammunition used, weapons deployed and perhaps destroyed by the enemy.
It is beyond idiotic to suggest the Ukrainians stop and count bullets used.

After all these years you still f-cking suck at this, you can't even come up with your own stuff.

Oh the "usual environment in a war"... expert are ya? Tell me you f-cking genius, did anyone take that into consideration before we just started handing all of this stuff to the SECOND most corrupt country in Europe? The money laundering capital of the world, something our current POTUS is more than familiar with....

But hey, wear your Ukraine flag pin, make sure everyone knows what a swell guy you are....

Awwww, did you get upset? I know when you are losing when you go on rants like this.

Seems you'll do all you can to try to get support for the idea of leaving Ukraine to fend for itself.

Do you have evidence that equipment being sent to surrounding countries and shipped into Ukraine is showing up anywhere else? Nah. You never do have proof to back you up.

Actually, reading this post of yours, I have to admit...compared to you, I am a f*cking genius.

Sounds like something that could have helped the Ukraine cause about a year ago, no?

Better late than never I suppose.

Does this count as "escalation"? Or is that term reserved for when a Republican is in office?

:)

Politicians seem to want to fight a war halfway, half-measures.

2014 would have been a good time to act boldly and decisively. Instead, here we are.
