Damned if they do and damned if they don't. That's what happens when hacks treat a public health issue as a political issue. Congratulations.
You call me a "hack" on a political fray and know covid is a political issue played in DC

I suspect that you are asking about if those that died died from something else and only had COVID when they died - The answer to that as I understand it is NO. All of the people listed would have almost certainly lived if they didn't have COVID.

By the way as to hospitalizations in my region (region 7) we had , 85 COVID patients hospitalized on 1/18/2022 and have 7 patients hospitalized today (1/18/2023) src - https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/oregon.health.authority.covid.19/viz/OregonCOVID-19HospitalCapacitySummaryTables_15965754787060/HospitalizationbyRegionSummaryTable

So far from overflowing the hospitals around here have about 10% as many COVID patients today as they did a year ago.
Thx for answer
I think it was last week all 100 counties in NC had positive cases
I don't really keep up with it because to me it's became same as the little boy who cried wolf

You're welcome. MrsPNWest & I are both fully vaccinated. We feel pretty safe the days and don't feel the need to wear a mask when out and about. My doctor and dentist both require people patients to wear masks. I think this is pretty much standard in all medical facilities up here.

Do you think that all of these medical people are being stupid or prudent?
All I speak with would rather not have to wear a mask all day and take their breaks outside to get relief from the Mask........I've never ask if they fill stupid or prudent.

If I see someone Alone in their car with a mask on I think they look stupid

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.

I think they get sick of dealing with the, well, sick day in and day out, and so they feel a certain contempt for those of us they have to treat. This is a way for them to feel a little "stick it to ya" as they go about their duties by disregarding our comforts and denigrating us with their petty rules. Does that make them prudent or stupid? Neither, it just makes them selfish.

Some would have all of us believe that caravans of drug mules, with calves as big as cantaloupes, are also bringing Covid in from Mexico too.

On 2/1/2023, the TxDSHS Covid-19 Dashboard reported 160 new fatalities in Texas from 1/26/2023 - 2/1/2023, an average of 23 deaths/day. Looks like another spike is fading.

Positive Covid cases as high or higher than in early 2020 and hospitals over flowing but nothing is shut down and none of the the President isn't taking it serious

WHY
Because the right-wing bioterrorist coterie got its way. There’s no way now to go back and undo the damage they did.
