What I think is without question as to why religion is losing its grip here in America

Religion and right wing fascism...where have we seen this before?
Yep. It should be obvious to those that know the history.

They're so persecuted. ;)

No, seriously. It is apparent that the right wing is using religion as a springboard to fascism. We've known that for decades, with Trump as their latest leader .

Christians always feel the need to be persecuted- the reason for my post.

That and getting the base to find and focus on an enemy...the immigrants.

Back to the topic.

I'd like to read what right leaning Christians think about what I term 'sane Christians' think about 'Christian Nationalism'.

Any takers?

Ok, you talked me into going there.

After all- it's on topic, isn't it?

Religion in general is losing its hold here in america, because more and more people are less religious. I do agree that there is a growing branch of religion, or at least people who call themselves religious, who are a threat to America both based on their views and interpretation of religion in the bible, and their desire for violence

Don't forget the COSTANT PLEADING FOR MONEY by the fake evangelicals - it is non stop - an everyday event. I had a mother in law give away 70,000.00 before the kids stopped her. Just give me the 1000.00 seed money, god wants me to have nice cars, clothes and jerwelry ! Give to my charity but understand only 5% makes it to the actual charity - the rest is my admin and advertising fees........no wonder people stopped going to church......... worse than any panhandler on a street corner or highway exit ramp.

BTW - Jesus isn't white ya know........whoops - all those pictures are wrong

The Devil, the Devil is why religion is losing it's grip, TV preachers and Politicians have much in common, hell, even Hunter has a GOFUNDME for his leagal expenses and fools donate to ALL! ( a fool and his money soon part)

I wondered where they got the data for this study and now I realize they must have been reading leftist post here in PJ, especially threads as this one:
FERBRACHE: The Data Confirms Leftists Are Angry And Miserable. But Why? (msn.com)

Christian Nationalism

Did R.E.M. write about it in their song 'Losing My Religion'? I think sane Christians should adopt the song.

Anyway,

I'm not sure i want ANY religion to have "a grip" on my town, state or nation. Relgion should be a free choice. In 2020 i voted for a christian for president, but it wasnt biden or trump . . .

Indeed. Agreed. Many are simply businesses...for personal enrichment

My thoughts is there's hundreds or thousands of little 'churches' with a pastor spitting fire and passing the basket for $$ spewing the venom that the parishioners want to hear ....
Oh yeah, the last church I attended was probably 20+ years back and a little church in the woods as you speak of with maybe 40+ members and every Sunday for like 8 months the Preacher always said Give A Little More as if 10% wasn't enough and I actually felt a bit guilty for not giving more then one Sunday after church they invited me and my wife to the BOARD MEETING and I said that probably isn't a good idea but he insisted so we attended and when the Treasure gave the report they had like $159,000 in the building fund, $240,000 in grave yard fund, $120,000 in another fund and I never returned.
Since then we watch Charles Stanley for Preaching on Sunday mornings on TV and any money I give is to people I know in need and never another dime to any church building.
