Trump’s hack judge gets schooled big time

As I've said before I'm happy that the bill that passed did pass. It will save the American economy from a lot of pain. However I don't try to sugar coat it. Biden and the (D)s betrayed the workers and this is just another example of them talking the talk ("most pro-union president leading the most pro-union administration in American history" ) but not walking the walk. I'm tired of it. I'm going to criticize the (D)s when they deserve it. Why would I blame the Republicans? - they didn't do anything other than what was expected of them - stand up for the billionaires instead of the people. They weren't the hypocrites here, just their usual scum.

How much failure from the Democrats are you willing to endure? I'm not and never have been a Democrat or a Republican (except for about a month this spring when I became a (D) to vote in the OR primary). The GOP is beyond hope. Fix the Democratic party or learn to love the losses.
The losses? The Dems control the presidency and the Senate, and they did very well otherwise - an excellent performance when viewed against other midterms two years into a presidency. If not for the racist gerrymandering enabled by the SCOTUS cons, the Dems would control the House too.

Seems to me it’s the GOP who are licking their wounds.

But hey, you feel compelled to blame the Dems for the GOP’s refusal to support the bill granting the paid sick leave. I think that’s bizarre, for the reasons I stated. But blame the Dems if you wish. It’s a free country.

A loss is a loss is a loss. They went in controling both the House and the Senate and they came out with only the Senate. any way you slice it that is a loss.

"But it is very good compared to other midterm elections" - It's a loss.

"but... but... but the SC court enabled racist gerrymandering...." it's a loss.

Understand this - when you go into a fight with 2 and come out with 1 YOU LOST. The Democrats lost the house. The rest of your verbiage is just excuses for why they lost.

No batter in the history of baseball ever batted 1,000. No political party ever won everything. Yet your position is that the Dems “lost” because they didn’t win everything. By that metric the GOP “lost” too. They both lost and they both won. I’m not quite sure what we do with that fact.

Anyway, I will continue to resist blaming the Dems for what the GOP does. And I think others who tend to vote for Dems should do the same. That’s just how I roll.

No - you are incorrect. The GOP did not lose. They went in with 0 of 2 houses of congress and came out with 1 of 2. They are better off now than before the election. The Jan 6th investigation - dead. Any chance of passing decent legislation in the next 2 years - dead. That's a loss for the (D)s any way you care to look at it. You are just deluding yourself to call this a win for the (D)s. It is clearly a loss. A loss of lesser magnitude than expected but a loss none the less.

It's good that you roll (D) as the (R)s are SCUM. But you need far more effective leaders in that party than the cabbage heads that are running the show now.

How can you excuse the lack of gun safety legislation and protections for a woman's right to determine what to do with her own body that the (D)s have failed to provide for a half century? Half of a f*cking century! and nothing. The Democrats have failed America. All of the good intentions in the world do not change that.

No offense, but I find it tedious to blame the Dems for the political positions of the Republicans. All the things you speak of would exist but for Republican opposition. I will continue to blame Republicans for that, and you will blame the Dems. We just disagree.

Damn right we disagree - blaming the GOP is ridiculous - they are scum now, have always been scum and always will be scum. You can't change that. That's like trying to blame the brick wall you drove your car into. What you can do is put a smarter driver in the car and find a way around the wall. That's what I want to see.

As long as you keep blaming the wall for the democrats driving into it you'll give them excuses to keep on doing it.

Why don't you address my points about the January 6th investigations and Biden's agenda that have been destroyed in this election? That's a loss.

How about commenting on the Democrats failing to protect a woman's right to choose for half a century? Another loss.

How about their failure to get any reasonable gun safety legislation passed in all that time? One more loss.

Or the fact that civil rights have not increased but actually decreased in the last generation? Broken record....loss, loss, loss

These are failures after failures after failures. The GOP has been consistent in opposition to these. There is no change there. They've won on these issues in spite of the fact that the American public is overwhelmingly on the side of the democrats on all of them. You should start asking yourself why the democrats are unable to get popular policies implemented.

Why don't you hold ineffective Democrat leaders responsible instead of just whining about republicans that aren't going to change. They are nothing but a convenient excuse for ongoing failures of the Democratic party.

You’re repeating yourself. And I haven’t ignored what you said - I addressed it ad nauseam. Those things would be law if not for the Republicans blocking them. You blame the Dems because the R’s are scum, and the D’s should have known they’re scum. They do know that. So what? The scumminess of the R’s is not the Ds’ fault because they’re aware of the scumminess. You’re grasping at straws.

Alright then let's just agree that the Democrats are unable to get things done.

I say that when for half a century you have the majority of the American people supporting issues that you claim to support and you can't deliver that your party is incompetent. It has not delivered.

[edit] Exactly how long can these failures go on in your opinion before you get disgusted with the people leading the Democratic Party? What if anything do they NEED to deviler to continue to have your support?

First, you should familiarize yourself with the filibuster rule. A majority in the Senate is not “control.”

Second, it’s obviously false to claim that the Dems have not passed any good legislation, including during the Biden era. They have also done something just as important - blocked awful GOP legislation.

I think you’re playing Devil’s advocate for the GOP - a challenge indeed.

;-)

Do you understand that the filibuster rule is just that - an agreed to rule. It is not a law and Chuck "The Banker's Friend" can just ignore it on any day that ends with a "Y" at his discretion. I have not claimed that the (D)s have passed no good legislation, just no where near enough of it and what has been passed has been watered down to near insignificance.

It is the sign of a weak mind if you or anyone else accuse me of cheerleading for the GOP. You know that. You'll find precisely ZERO posts of mine praising the Republican Party. Not now, not ever.

My beef is with the Democratic Party letting the American people down.

So I'll ask again - how much longer are you willing to put up with this before YOU get mad enough to call them out on this?

I don’t feel like I’m “putting up with” anything. I’m content with Dem rule and policies. I loathe the concept of GOP rule. So your question is misdirected to me.

With that attitude you better get used to losing even when you win because that's what been happening for the past half century with few exceptions and is exactly what people like you are enabling. Talk about it, attempt do to something about it, fail, make excuses, rinse and repeat.

OK, so what’s the strategy? How do you “demand better,” other than blaming Dems for the things Republicans do or don’t do?

Face it - you have no strategy that would change GOP behavior. As usual I am correct in pointing out the the GOP will always be SCUM. So unless you have something I've not seen from you you accept my opinion of the GOP. So we agree that there isn't anything that can be done in winning over any of these scumbags.

That leaves the Democratic party. The people responsible for the constant failure of the democrats to get things done lies with the party leadership. The people at the top need to go.

Primary out any and all of the Democrats that control the party today.

Get rid of ineffective leaders like Joe Biden. Primary them out. Out with Chuckie Schumer, out with the rest of these fossils. Replace them with younger and more aggressive Democrats that will actually fight and win. The current party lezdership is far too accepting of failure.

That’s your “strategy”? Seeking the election defeat of all (most?) Dems because you’re unhappy with Republicans blocking stuff you want passed?

Now I KNOW you’re just joshing.
