24.31 Americans died per thousand of the flu in 2018, now .63 Americans died per thousand from Covid-19

Do you feel lucky, Punk
This is math and the results are not up for discussion, math is what it is. So until over 80,000 Americans die from Covid 19 the flu was far more dangerous in 2018.

Look the fact is that over 99 percent of the people who have this bug have not been tested. If every American was tested the death rate from Covid would be exactly .638 deaths per thousand people when in 2018 the death rate for the flu was 24.31 deaths per thousand people

So get a grip

Sure the number will go up but at this point 78000 more Americans died from the flu in 2018

How creative of you....ignore the fact that in the first few weeks/months of an out break there are fewer deaths than at the peak. We haven't reached the peak. So compare flu infection/fatality stats at the same point in the outbreak to be relevant.

The reaction from medical experts is about the potential for a larger problem. Did you know 1,000 people died in Italy in one day?
