I was flying home at Christmas from having gone through boot camp and A school in San Diego. I had reported to my first duty station and got leave. The first time I'd been seen my family in nearly a year. The plane landed, about 5pm on Christmas Eve. The pilot asked everyone to remain seated to allow the in uniform military passengers to deplane (and they did). Then this song came on. Luckily I didn't cry.
