  • A price cap on Russian oil could push Brent crude past $130 a barrel, BofA analysts said.
  • Western leaders have touted the cap as an effective tool to combat energy inflation.
  • But Russia could retaliate and send oil prices even higher, even if OPEC+ steps up production.

Unfortunately Joe's Policy is unable to have an impact on this problem.

Gas prices under $5.00 in Orange County today. A month ago it was $6.50 or more. Things are looking better. Hopefully they will continue to drop until November.

Heating oil prices are still hovering around $5 a gallon in parts of New England. Going to be a difficult winter ahead for those trying to heat their homes.

Hopefully there will be government subsidies and oil companies will use some of the billions they have made to help out those affected by these high prices. We as a nation need to take care of our own in times of crisis.

I can tell you that the little mom and pop oil companies who delivered oil when we lived in New England are not making billions, they a are struggling themselves to survive. As far as I am aware government subsidies for middle class individuals who will try to supply a heated home for their families this winter are not there. It will be a rough winter ahead.

Those little oil delivery companies should be given a break which they can pass on to their customers by giant corporations they buy from. If necessary, government agencies should step in and subsidize them. If such measures are taken it will be interesting to see which party supports them and which one opposes them.

As always.……Fuel prices, for various reasons have spiked upward for over a year. Now they seem to be coming down. I would assume that those in control of federal and state governments are trying to get them under control. Here in California in the last two months prices have gone from over $6.50 to under $5.00. Things seem to be moving in the right direction. Hopefully they will continue on that trajectory.
