A Well-Deserved Shellacking

Senator McConnell appears to be blaming the ACA on the president:

The fact is: If Taqiyya the Liar vetoes a bill for full repeal —— a bill to override his veto will place the blame squarely on congressional Democrats where it belongs. Taqiyya did nothing except sign the ACA. Pelosi, Reid & Company rammed it through. The ones who are still there should pay the price in 2016.

McConnell seems to be saying “Let’s give Democrats who refuse to override Taqiyya’s veto a pass on a few of the items.” The items McConnell wants to repeal are safe throwaways. Democrats will jump at the chance to look good by voting to repeal crap like the medical device tax. Hell, it would not surprise me if Taqiyya went along with the throwaways.

Incidentally, Democrats are not distancing themselves from the horrors in the ACA. They sure as hell are not distancing themselves from the insurance industry and Wall Street. Most notably, Democrat Elizabeth “Cherokee” Warren tells us that she hates Wall Street, but apparently not enough to hate the trillions heading Wall Street’s way through the ACA. Come 2016 the media will again tell us that Democrats are distancing themselves from a president who is toast in 2017 anyway.

Finally, chess champions often play for a draw. Somebody should remind McConnell that politics ain’t chess. If McConnell has his way Taqiyya will leave office with a draw rather than a well-deserved shellacking.

Kentucky Republican Senator Mitch McConnell is poised to take over control of the upper house of Congress in January, but his mild-mannered governing style won't include a push to repeal the Obamacare health insurance overhaul law.

Where is it written in stone that Mitch McConnell has to be the majority leader? Answer: Media boardrooms.
