After watching the debacle of Afghanistan and now Ukraine it seems that Taiwan has two choices.

Taiwan can get themselves some nukes and/or submit to China and offer them a 50% discount on cutting edge chips.

Why? Because Biden sucks. All Democrats suck.

It seems that Biden sent envoys to China with intelligence about Putin to beg China to help dissuade RasPutin from invading Ukraine!

Then China shared with RasPutin the intelligence the Americans gave China.

The U.S. wrote Taiwan off a long time ago, the leaders of China have just been too pusillanimous to take advantage. If the Taiwanese workers are smart they will build unions and amass arms so they can wage the same kind of defensive democratic fight waged by the workers in Hong Kong and with less success in mainland China.

If Taiwan falls we need to "nuke" the fabs. Preferably by hack but sabotage will do. Taking in the fab talent as refugees would also be in the cards.

Fabrication.

Fabless chip makers send their designs to fabs to have them actually made. The big chipmakers are TSMC, Samsung, and Intel. TSMC is opening a new fab in Arizona. Intel designs their own chips and makes them but having bought ARM they seem intent on doing fab work for the likes of Apple, Nvidia, et al.
