Thanks - I have been looking for that meme for quite a while.

It sums up the opposition that righties have to Critical Race Theory today. Today's racist GOP ALWAYS wants to point out that the Democrats created the KKK (in the 1860s!) and that some republicans in the 1950s and 60s actually supported civil rights. The people pictured in your meme were republicans in 1957. They have been republicans since the Southern Strategy in the early 1970s.

The right wing is experiencing a guilt complex and, as such, they attempt to push their shame onto Democrats.

And they think no one sees it.

Them people are all alike. Them people think this way. But not we people. We are better.

No - it is exactly what the GOP of 2021 represents. Deep down they are ashamed of their political stances because they know that they are a bunch of racists and racist enablers.
