At least they can work 2-3 jobs to triple that income, right?

29% of those with wages under $15 per hour are parents themselves. At any rate, the stated goal of the minimum wage was to enable a single full-time earner to support a family.
I don't care what the "stated goal" is. Personally I don't think we should have a minimum wage at all. The market should be deciding what the skills of an individual are worth. But then, these are the anti-capitalistic ravings that lefties use to try and buy votes from younger voters. Like when Biden put one over on them when he offered to pay off part of their school debt and then reneged after getting elected. :)

Some those are parents because... an abortion option wasn’t readily available. So do these conservatives not care about the once fetus or not?

The minimum wage isn’t an alternative to market pricing. It is a mechanism by which wages reach their market equilibrium. That we have a minimum wage reflects the demand for labor which gave unions the power to collectively bargain with the capitalists and get a minimum wage codified in law.

Definition of market equilibrium – A situation where for a particular good supply = demand. When the market is in equilibrium, there is no tendency for prices to change. We say the market-clearing price has been achieved. A market occurs where buyers and sellers meet to exchange money for goods.

Since a minimum wage artificially inflate the market value of labor causing un-necessary increases in pricing, your assertion that it's a mechanism for reaching market equilibrium is ridiculous.

The minimum wage doesn't "artificially inflate the market value of labor." It is a market-driven (or did you think Congress wasn't for sale to the highest bidder?) response to the wages of labor being below their market level due to the contradiction between rational competition and market-level wages and in essence is a form of price-fixing the dominant wing of the employing class forces on other wings of that class in order to ensure maximum overall profit ... the corruption of Congress and the price fixing of course being market mechanisms as well.

And ... I have trouble grasping the lack of impetus. I agree with the need for fair wages and commensurate with the demands of a given role. But not with the notion more money needs to be given to meet the inertia, just because ...
Herein is the problem:
Wages in America ARE fair. They are an accurate reflection of the value of one's work. One is paid ONLY what one is worth. In fact, in America wages are the ONLY true barometer of the value of one's work skills.

And in America one can work harder and smarter and EARN more money. One can go back to school and get a useful degree. One can work a better job and pay off the student loan for that degree.

All the government's minimum wage raises do is guarantee that people who are NOT worth that minimum wage are NOT hired or they are laid off.

As Rand pointed out, "capital flows to the most productive sources." And nothing will change that.

Parents have the choice not to get pregnant. And today the Final Solution is still readily available to irresponsible adults who are too stupid and lazy to use birth control or just control their own hormones. Thanks to the Eugenics monster that HIllary admires

you can find a Planned Parenthood baby killing clinic pretty much in every city. That HUMAN BEING can be crushed and scraped from a womb in fine fashion.

You might as well ask that idiot to take a 12th grade high school calculus test. You'll get the same idiotic drooling and stammering.
Yep and working 2 or 3 jobs is better than being evicted. A living wage is the according to what one wants in life.

If the minimum wage was "market driven" then there wouldn't be a need for it because that's what the market would be paying. LOL

Not if the market is inefficient at setting prices for hiring labor. If the workers were paid the market price without minimum wage, there would be no political pressure for a minimum wage (which comes from the ruling class’s recognition of the workers’ power as sellers of labor).

'inefficient at setting prices for hiring labor"? The market should be the benchmark for setting prices for hiring labor. The market is the most efficient system to date so far, which is why our poor still live far better than the poor in other nations. It is the essence of democracy. People put their money in the places they choose, not where they are told to put it.
