Bernie Sanders for 2020

Actually, Bernie will do just fine with American voters. I believe people are ready to have an intelligent, sane President for a change.
Trump needs to go back to New York.

A guy who was basically unemployed until age 40 is not 'intelligent'
There's nothing in his history that shows he is intelligent either.

For those who think Venezuela is a good model for the USA, Bernie is their man.
On Bernie's website, a piece containing this editorial quote was featured:

"These days, the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina, where incomes are actually more equal today than they are in the land of Horatio Alger. Who's the banana republic now?" the piece states.

Bernie has since realized that Venezuela obviously isn't the place for American dreams to come true, but he thinks he can do Socialism the right way. He berates the "very very very very rich" as he said last night...........but he is one of them. How hypocritical.

Bernie is bad news on many levels.
I just visited Bernie's campaign site. I read his stand on several issues and I agree with him on most of them. I don't agree with the Green New Deal; not at this time. Also, his Medicare For All plan will be very expensive if done the way he plans. But, maybe some kind of compromise could be made for a healthcare plan.

Before becoming President, JFK had never worked (other than holding a few elected offices). He was a very intelligent man.
So, work history doesn't tell the whole story.

Bernie won the Nevada caucus. YAY!! This one was important because it shows that he can win with a diverse population of voters.
Super Tuesday is coming up fast.:)

OK. It's official. I mailed my ballot in today. I hope my vote will help put Bernie over the top on Super Tuesday. :) Hope he wins in South Carolina tomorrow too.

Biden and Sanders are set to have a debate on March 15th. It should be interesting with just those two debating each other.
I believe Sanders will win the debate.

It's not looking good for Bernie Sanders after the second Super Tuesday held on March 10, 2020. Biden won the important state of Michigan, as well as a few others. I think Sanders won two states, but they were smaller states with fewer delegates.
Sanders is now being endorsed by Rev. Jesse Jackson---I'm happy to hear that.

Jesse Jackson is the man who referred to New York City as "hymietown", right? Do you know what a "hymie" is?

By now, rotated on countless television broadcasts, the image is indelible: Jesse Jackson, once the most influential African-American leader in the US, angrily jabbing his right arm and muttering about Barack Obama across a television microphone that he thought was turned off.

"I want to cut his nuts out," Jackson said to his fellow guest during a broadcasting break. "Barack, he is talking down to black people."

1) Trump referred to Black football players as "sons-of-bitches".
2) Trump referred to Baltimore inner city neighborhoods as "rat and roach infested places unfit for humans". We knew he was talking about Blacks.
3) Trump told the 4 Congresswoman of color that he doesn't like, to "Go back where you came from".
4) Trump called Rep. Maxine Waters "low IQ Maxine".
5) Trump called Omarosa "a dog".

Oh wait---what did you say about Rev. Jackson?

Bernie Sanders gave clearer, more concise answers during the debate last night, March 15, 2020. Bernie won it.
I hear this may be the last debate for the Democrat candidates.
My heart goes out to Joe Biden, but he is just not mentally fit to be President. Poor thing.

Bernie Sanders announced yesterday, April 8th, 2020, that he is quitting his Presidential campaign. This makes me so sad. I had great hopes for him.

He never had even the slightest chance of being nominated. He could have won every single primary and the party apparatus still wouldn't have given him the nomination.
Better to reserve the sadness for the decent (as politicians go), reasonable, and realistic contenders who fell away.

Hi Emily. Sadly, I think you are correct. :( It's too bad; Bernie is a good man.
At least a few of the issues he supported are getting some attention: Medicare for All and free college tuition for deserving kids. There is some hope.

The county going in that direction is inevitable. Unfortunately, i fear that abuse of it by both government and the barons of capitalism is equally inevitable.

Good to see you posting again. XO

LOL

But, you're right about Biden. It's going to be highly amusing to watch you campaign for him now.
