Biden actually said the Tuskegee Airmen were part of a syphillis experiment.

Governor
Some of the people here are probably right now nodding their heads, saying that it's correct.

“They are used to being experimented on—the Tuskegee Airmen and others,” Biden said.
In this, he confused legendary World War II fighter pilots with a long, notorious governmental study of syphilis among black men—the Tuskegee Experiment.

For the people here, (whose entire knowledge of history comes from watching The View every day) The Tuskegee Airmen was the 332nd Fighter Group. They happened to all be black. They fought in World War Two. They were deployed in Italy in 1944.

The Tuskegee Experiment began in 1932 in Tuskegee Alabama. 400 blacks with syphillis were studied to see the effects of the disease when untreated. They weren't informed as to the nature of the experiment and over 100 died from it.

Uh, Joe? The Tuskegee Airmen were in Italy. The Tuskegee experiment took place in Alabama, thousands of miles away.

Say, the Commodores were originally from Tuskegee, Alabama. I'll bet Joe tries to say Lionel Richie's father was a survivor of the Tuskegee Experiment.

I love this part:

... taking discriminatory positions and cavorting with known racists—things that would get anyone to his political right tossed out of polite society. But being on the left must make it okay.

If only discriminatory positions and cavorting with racists actually got anyone to the right of Biden tossed out of 'polite society' instead of welcomed.
