Late breaking news – President Biden's vacation home was searched today by the FBI. But it was a “consensual" search. What the heck does that even mean, when the FBI is investigating you? That you have a “safe word”, and the search stops if it gets too painful? Does it mean that we can refuse entry if they come to our homes with a warrant? “Sorry, I don't agree to this. Go away and stop following me on social media!!!”

The good news: No more secret docs were found. Well, what would you expect if the FBI calls a "person of interest" in advance, waits for consent, and then – and ONLY then – shows up for a search? That any and all evidence was left where it was supposed to be?

Let me defuse the Trump spankers here. No - Biden's document mishandling is NOT as bad as Trump's. By any statistical measure, Trump had 100X more pages at HIS vacation home. But Trump's non-consensual spanking began with turning over multiple boxes of docs voluntarily too. So who knows? Maybe the FBI actually DID get all the docs, in both cases.

Back to Biden. No secret docs found - this time. The white house wants to make SURE you understand that. And the boxes of evidence carried off were NOT marked top secret. But why remove them, and refuse to say what you carried off, then? “Yep . . .we got a search warrant, waited for an appointment, then visited the suspect's residence. Boxes of evidence were removed. Nope - no charges have been filed.” And still, no charges filed against Trump either. Except in NY, for having consensual sex with a porn star. THAT one was on the news today too.

You'll be pleased to know that tonight's US government state sponsored television (PBS) did NOT begin with the FBI search story. We need government sponsored/approved TV to “balance” the other networks. PBS led its evening broadcast with 15 minutes of video of the Tyree Nichols funeral. The other (unbalanced) networks led with the FBI search story – ABC, CBS, NBC.

(Yes – I do have a life. No, I don't watch TV for a living).

So . . . I'm sure that SOMEONE at the White House was relieved that PBS went with the funeral story. After all, they DID send Kamala Harris to attend, dressed in black. Because unbalanced reporters aren't going to shout questions about “secret docs” at Kamala every moment she's there.

As far as I can tell, Kamala did NOT give an on-camera eulogy to commemorate Tyree Nichols. The Reverend Al Sharpton did. Didn't catch the whole thing. Comments to the effect that if Tyree were white, he'd NEVER have been killed.

Hey, reverend – it's a sin in the eyes of the lord to lie. According to fact checkers, police kill more whites than blacks in America - every year. See link at bottom. Pray for forgiveness.

Here's another question, reverend. Have you EVER been to a funeral of a white person? For any reason? With or without TV cameras?

I hope PBS covers this, if it ever happens.

Wow all that “consensual” stuff sounds really steamy and exciting. It also has a hint of an attempt to suggest that there is something really shady about the evil one Joe Biden conspiring with the over reaching political ultra liberal hit men of the FBI. Very suspicious to say the least.

But in the real world, the term consensual is a legal term as it pertains to searches and seizures of one’s home or vehicle. In case you have not read the search warrant (a matter of public record) which was executed at Mira Lago, there are several references to the actions of Donald Trump when he and his “legal” team were approached by officials from the national archives. This compelled the FBI and the DOJ to use a search warrant in order to retrieve documents they had reason to believe were being illegally stored at Mira Lago. I suggest reading that document if you are interested in learning more about legal proceedings.

In so many words the DOJ said that Trump was jerking them around and they felt that obtaining and executing a warrant was their last resort according to their affidavit to obtain a warrant which was carefully read and signed off by a federal magistrate. Pretty standard procedure when there is reasonable suspicion that there may be evidence of a crime at the location of the search. As it turned out, there damn sure was and after months of Trumps typical legal stall tactics, (getting a quack judge to appoint a special master, etc.) a special council has been appointed to decide whether or not to indict Trump and or some of his either idiot or crooked lawyers.

In Biden’s case, his lawyers discovered such documents and reported that to the National Archives who then rightfully reported that to the DOJ. The DOJ immediately appointed a U.S. Attorney to investigate. Nice to see an AG who is not in the bag for the guy who appointed him. Kudos to Garland. Reportedly Biden, his lawyers and his Chief of Staff, Ron Klain have cooperated with the FBI regarding the investigation into how these documents ended up at Biden’s office and home. Evidently the investigators asked Biden through his lawyers if he would give his “CONSENT” to search his vacation home WITHOUT a warrant which they did NOT have probable cause to get. In the spirit of cooperation with law enforcement officials, it appears that Biden voluntarily consented to the search of his residence.

As far as your denigration of the funeral of the slain young man in Memphis today and your snarky cheap shots at Reverend Al and VP Kamala…..Anytime either of them appears anywhere, the right wing blow hole opens up and insults and belittles both of them. I was driving today and heard some great music which turned out to be live coverage of Tyree’s funeral. The local pastor gave a great eulogy, the Ax Brothers Reverend Al and Counselor Ben were axing all the right questions and both gave rousing speeches which pointed ot many instances of injustice. The family and especially the father of Tyree were really a class act. The best part was at the end when somebody sang that great Sam Cook song A Change Is Gonna Come. I thought Sam had come back to life. Brought tears to my eyes. All in all, I thought it was a great and very positive event. Hopefully we will get rid of the “qualified immunity“ for criminal policemen and departments.
