I like lobster, but I wouldn't wanna eat that. Put it back in the ocean.

Yecch,,, water bugs, I have a friend who did his college thesis on Land shrimp, cockroaches, same physiological make up,

Lobsters aren't too far behind, bottom feeders, and considering how much sewage we spew into the oceans, I ain't eatin em.

Most likely, the color patterning reflects a somatic mutation(s) in pigmentation pathway genes that also reflect the expression domains of genes responsible for anterior/posterior and dorsal/ventral and left/right body plan determinations. That's likely why the L/R color split is so precise.
