"Critical race theory is an academic concept that is more than 40 years old. The core idea is that racism is a social construct, and that it is not merely the product of individual bias or prejudice, but also something embedded in legal systems and policies."

It should be taught in school. I can't imagine why anyone would object.

The reason conservatives don't like it is because they are a bunch of racists and don't like being called out on it. These scumbags would have you believe that slavery was a good thing, that slaves liked being "taken care of", that the Civil War was about states rights and NOT about slavery, that the civil rights movement in mid century America was not needed and never happened, that the Mormon Church never engaged in racist behavior, that the Southern Baptists did not start out as a haven for racist beliefs, that the minority disenfranchisement efforts of today's republicans are based on an actual concern for secure election, that their "Southern Heritage" is a real thing even though most of them aren't even Southerners, that there was no such thing as the "Southern Strategy" designed to get Souther racists to become republicans and so on and so on....

Bottom line:

YOU CAN'T SPELL RACIST WITHOUT THE (R)

Mayor
you’re confused. Ideology and party are not the same thing.
Uhhhhhhh……………….OK?

(You might want to mention that to our resident dem/lib champion cheerleader poster, good 'ol west, who always seems to manage to present himself as "confused" based upon what you are stating here.)

Okay, which racist POTUS signed the GI Bill into law???
Ah, you admit there was racism in the GI bill. That's a start.

It offers one example of why whites were able to accumulate more wealth than blacks. Whites were given a leg up.

None of us were taught that......which is why I want our kids taught an accurate history of race, and not the whitewashed version we were taught.

Wingers hate it because it is undeniable reality. They HATE undeniable reality, so they want it hidden.
