The 6th Florida Infantry Regiment was in Trigg's Brigade at Chickamauga. During my visit there in June,I got to see and walk very near to the ground my ancestor marched and fought on there. It's called Viniard Field:
My ancestor was captured at Dallas,GA in May of 1864 and imprisoned at Rock Island Barracks in Illinois. Got this book in the mail today and can't wait to read it.
