Covid is not going away.

Yeah, the mask wearing is insipid virtue signaling - it does exactly nothing to stem the spread:

I have not seen a single Republican say not to get the vaccine.
If the countries that already have it under control are not requiring masks, as your chart indicates, what that says to me is that masks are about saving lives, not controlling people.

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.

That makes even less sense than your usual nonsense...

Trump is really leaving a horrible human tragedy in his wake.
It seems there are two groups of people that refuse the vaccine (in general). Minorities and rednecks (for lack of a better description).

These two groups will lead the herd thinning.

This is true. It is hard to believe people are for closing travel from infected countries but not for closing the southern boarder.
The border is wide open and citizen are told they can't go out to eat, go to gym or fly if not vaccinated.

Authoritarianism has arrived

The TxDSHS Covid-19 Dashboard reported 60 new deaths yesterday. That’s the first 60+ day since May 20th.

It ain't the wetbacks causing it. That's MAGA bullshit. The worst outbreaks are in Louisiana, Florida, Arkansas, Missouri, south Mississippi, south Alabama and south Georgia, not the US/Mexico border. It ain't Mexicans that those 7 states have in common either.

One group is much larger than the other and the right ran, and in some areas still is running, an anti-vaccine campaign under the pretence of freedom.

All the unvaccinated put us at risk of a vax resistant variant that turns deadly.

Image those gorillas being reissued bulletproof vest, and then they start killing 10% of the people who get infected this time around.

Until they are fully protected hope they will be very careful.

HEALTH AND SCIENCE
Covid vaccinations more than doubled in Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama since July
PUBLISHED THU, AUG 5 20213:06 PM EDTUPDATED 28 MIN AGO

More and more people who were once vaccine hesitant in several Southern states are now getting their first shots as the delta Covid variant rips through areas of the U.S. with low immunizations rates.

In Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama, the seven-day average of daily reported first doses has more than doubled since the start of July, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data shows, as the outbreak has worsened nationwide.

.

Over that same time period, average daily case counts have grown from about 13,000 per day across the country to roughly 94,000 per day as of August 4, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University, with the overwhelming majority of new infections among those who are unvaccinated.

“Clearly, Americans are seeing the impact of being unvaccinated and unprotected and they’re responding by doing their part, rolling up their sleeve and getting vaccinated,” White House Covid czar Jeff Zients told reporters Thursday.

What your graph indicates: some countries got Covid under control. Those tend to be the same countries not now requiring masks (because the virus no longer poses a big threat to them). The people have more freedom because they cooperated to take down the common threat. Other countries have not gotten Covid under control AT ALL. Mask requirements are still common in those countries. The people have less freedom because they and their leaders were less responsible.
