In two elections in the last 100 years the winner of the election did not win the popular vote...2000 and 2016. Trump almost managed to steal the electoral college with fake electors...

That is why I am for keeping the EC. But dividing it within the state removes the phenomenon of swing states. NO single state or a handful of states will be able to swing and election under the way I am proposing. Every state matters because both sides can win EC votes in every state. All we have to do is get rid of winner take all.

The difference in 2020 in Texas was 631,000 votes for Trump. In California it was about 5 million for Biden. In Florida it was 371,000 for Trump. It was about 2 million for Biden in New York.
She was running in a primary for the senate....what would gerrymandering have to do with a senate race?
