You nor Spamature answered my question question which was do you agree or disagree that candidates would campaign differently and many voters that didn't vote in states guaranteed to go one way would come out to vote if it was popular vote that won.
I was agreeing. Guess it wasn't clear enough for you.

What if I told you 85% of Americans live in places with a smaller population than the 50th largest US city?

https://www.nationalpopularvote.com/section_9.5

"QUICK ANSWER:
  • Under a national popular vote, every vote would be equal throughout the United States. A vote cast in a big city would be no more (or less) valuable or controlling than a vote cast anywhere else.
  • Los Angeles does not control the outcome of statewide elections in California and therefore is hardly in a position to dominate a nationwide election. The fact that Los Angeles does not control the outcome of statewide elections in its own state is evidenced by the fact that Republicans such as Ronald Reagan, George Deukmejian, Pete Wilson, and Arnold Schwarzenegger were elected Governor in recent years without ever winning Los Angeles.
  • The origins of the myth about big cities may stem from the misconceptions that big cities are bigger than they actually are, and that big cities account for a greater fraction of the nation’s population than they actually do. In fact, 85% of the population of the United States lives in places with a population of fewer than 365,000 (the population of Arlington, Texasthe nation’s 50th biggest city)."
Of course, the other fact they ignore is that not all people in cities vote the same way.

The fallacy in your logic is two-fold - 1) Your stat is misleading in that it only counts cities and not the surrounding metropolitan areas (which mostly reflect the city politically), which vastly enlarges their advantage and, 2) the suggestion that the 85% of the population that doesn't live in "big cities" votes differently than the 15% who do is, of course, insipid. The large liberal populations in the metropolitan areas (more like probably 33% of the voters) only need a minority of the remaining votes to impose their will on the nation. That is what the founders were trying to prevent...

The EC is part of the Constitution. But the Constitution does not say that anyone who wins a state should get all of its EC votes. All of the liberals in Mississippi and the conservatives in California should not have their voices shut out by a system that makes their votes meaningless when all of the EC votes go to only one candidate.

A few voters in swing states should not decide the elections for the entire country. Nor should we have the election decided on razor thin margins in a Florida or Pennsylvania. The only fair way to do things is to divide the EC votes based upon the the percentage of votes each candidate gets in that state.

That way everyone's voice is equal and all votes are counted.

Even though Trump told you that millions of illegals cast voted in 2016...he was no more serious than when he told you that windmills cause cancer or when he said he would only hire the best or even when he said he'd pay off the national debt.

Don't be so gullible. If he honestly believed that millions of illegal immigrants cast votes, wouldn't he have an investigation and prosecution going on?

Letting a clearly guilty man off the hook, when he and his defense at trial says the Constitution allows him to do what ever he wants, is making him a king who is above the law.
1) Well, you can HEAR whatever you want. What does that make you? A guilty bullshit artist?

2) Guilty of what? Asking a country to commit to investigating U.S. corruption? Biden is guilty of corruption and he would ACTUALLY be compromised by Ukraine and most especially China. Why would the left want a Chinese vassal be president of the U.S.?

We have a Clinton-era Treaty with Ukraine for mutual assistance in criminal investigations. So President Trump, as Lt. Col Vindman admitted in his testimony, had every right to ask for an investigation.

Why are so many Democrats involved in Ukraine is the question. The Biden's, the Kerry Klan, Pelosi, Schiff. Follow the money.

As far as a "Chinese vassal", look no further than Bloomberg. Biden is done, he was never really going to win the nomination. But Bloomberg could buy it, for his pal Xi that is.

Voting online lacks the same level of ID security that banking over the internet requires. State or national voter ID cards would have to include the same level of identification verification as a debit or credit card.
What do this mean? That we can't have the same level of security that banking over the internet requires?

Hence, voting online would eliminate the secret ballot in the US.
No house representative gets a secret ballot to vote on a law on the floor of the house? Why would you say that is a requirement for this?

The state (or society) would not only know if a citizen voted or not but also which candidates or causes the voter selected.
When did candidates get voted for on the floor of the house as a matter of legislative regular order? And your congressman sure as heck has his votes and causes made in public. Why shouldn't you in a democracy?

If Biden is guilty of corruption why didn't Trump ask his own DOJ to investigate? We have a treaty with Ukraine that they will cooperate in a US investigation. Instead, Trump says "you want missiles? We want a favor". All you need to do is announce an investigation.

Why are you ok with having a Russian vassal in the White House today?

Literally the day before Biden declared his candidacy Guiliani was on FOX telling the world that he had been investigating Biden's criminal involvement in Ukraine.

I think that Biden only ran because it got back to him through the grapevine that he was being investigated. He ran in order to immunize himself from scrutiny. I believe that in a conspiracy of the intelligence services - Schiff, Brennan, and Comey (among others) committed treason and tried a coup d'etat. Schiff has been desperately trying to impeach and convict Trump in order to hide his treason that can be found in and around the Mueller investigation but that was purposefully left unreported.

A vassal that criticizes German purchases of Russian energy (which subsidizes the Russian military threat of Europe)? A vassal that has put the greatest sanctions on Russia? A vassal that sends actual war aid to Ukraine?

You're talking like a bullshit artist.

What a load of bs. Both liberals and conservatives live in both rural areas and big cities. Attacking cities is just the a tactic to discount the liberal vote. Your fear is that there are not more conservatives overall, not the concentrations of liberals in specific areas. You guys just repeat this nonsense over and over to avoid facing that the fear that you are actually in the minority and this is the only way to keep power.

A vassal who praises Putin and believes him before his own intelligence chiefs. A vassal who stopped military aid while looking for an excuse for the interference in our election by getting Ukraine to announce that it might be them? Yes.

The greatest sanctions? Trump didn't do that. Congress did and Trump couldn't do any better than try to delay them.

1) Trump ran on making friends with Russia. That is no secret and it makes sense to be on good working terms with the largest nuclear state on the planet.

2) Yeah, show me the evidence and quantify the effect and only then will I bother worrying about Russian involvement in our election of 2016.

Never happened. He asked the new Ukranian government to commit to investigate corruption.

Did he veto congress' sanctions? Has he imposed his own without legislative prompting?

You really don't understand what in the post you're replying to then.

It would be in an elected representative republic. A republic in which 50 nation states can by plebescite choose to secede as a matter of law as shown by Kosovo, Scotland, and Brexit.
You argue against electing the president by popular vote by claiming it would be mob rule and then suggest having popular votes to pass legislation.

Trump sanctioned a handful of people for their involvement in our 2018 election...how funny...

Meanwhile

So Russia has a larger nuclear weapons capability than the US does?

Show you the evidence? Even Trump admitted they had.

Investigate corruption? Something that happened in 2016...oh and I don't feel like the US should investigate it ourselves...and yes, Trump did order a hold on aid.
