Engineered political perspective is what people wind up with when they are only exposed to a monopoly on the narrative. When media has a monopoly on the narrative, they can effectively engineer the political perspective of their base.
In another thread, it was established that lefties cannot differentiate using media to search for the actual truth from using media to search for what validates what one believes the truth is. The result is that lefties limit themselves to a narrow view of a much broader spectrum of media, a view that tells them what they want to hear:

Because lefties have limited their consumption of media to what they want to hear, they are ignorant by default, of the rest of the media that they exclude. This means that for lefties, the msm has a monopoly on the narrative. For those of us who are not limited to the perspective that the msm engineers for their base, we can know what a lefty's political perspective is before he does if we stay updated on what the msm is engineering for him. In addition to knowing what his political perspective is before he does, we also have access to the rest of the information that is available to us but out of lefty reach.
