The LAST bill that Obama refused had 20,000 immediate Oil Pipeline jobs (leading to estimated 200,000 jobs) and a partnership with Canada.

There are not going to be any 20000 instant jobs, no matter how much Rush shouts it at you. It's a lie. And a rather obvious one too!

Mandater's a little behind the curve on this shout angle. The "real" number of jobs is now down to about 6,500. And even then, this number is calculated on the basis of what's called "person years". That means that if in the process of building the pipeline, a laundromat is caused to open and operate for three years putting one person to work cleaning lint out of the driers, that counts as 3 jobs.
