FBI Director Chistopher Wray on "insurrection"

Drumcollie

Ending Racism with or without Hillary
Here was my post:

They attempted to kill the police officers they attacked with flag poles, sharpened hockey sticks, baseball bats and police night sticks they'd taken from officers that they'd swarmed and beaten.

Officer Sicknick would probably still be alive...even though the cause of death cannot be traced back to damage done by hitting him with bear spray or a blow to the head.

It cannot be dismissed that the rioters attempted to kill democracy in this country

Which you edited down to this:

They attempted to kill the police officers

It cannot be dismissed that the rioters attempted to kill democracy in this country.

Your dishonesty in editing the post you are responding to precludes a response to your question.
So you are saying what? (poll)

1. You can only be black and kill police officers?

2. That you can only use guns or WMD's to kill police officers?

Well for my first response:
A. BLM was present at the riot and participated. You failed to mention that.

B. I didn't see any proof of anything you said.

The only Capitol Hill police officer "murdered" this year was by an Obama/Farrakhan adherent. There has not been one other accusation of murder.

Facts matter. Left wing mental illness does not.

Your whataboutism is lame.

As to your “Movement A,” it did not last “a few hours.” The Trump Big Lie that produced it is being told now more than ever, producing the biggest threat to our country in its history. Trump cultists believe it and act on it.

Democracy was alive and well when voters decided to elect Biden. The allegations of fraud should not have been made without proof and there is none. Trump's own AG said so.

LOL.......that is the real Big Lie and Americans knew it beforehand

WASHINGTON — A majority of American adults say they are not confident that the November elections will be conducted in a fair and equal way, according to new data from the NBC|SurveyMonkey Weekly Tracking Poll.

Fifty-five percent of adults overall say they are either “not too confident” or “not at all confident” about the fairness of the election, just 14 percent say they are “very confident” in the election and 29 percent said they are somewhat confident.

But there’s a partisan split in how much Americans trust the election’s fairness.

Sixty-five percent of American adults who identify as a Republican or “lean Republican” are not confident in how the election will be held. That compares to 46 percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaners who aren’t feeling confident about November’s results. A majority of independents — 56 percent — also aren’t confident in the election being conducted fairly and equally.

The only one murdered was by an Obama, Farrakhan follower. Why are you unable to admit that? Your own evil embarrass you?
Again...attacking the police with bear spray, metal poles, bats, hockey sticks and the officers own tasers and night sticks was ok by you?

A big difference between the rioters during the summer and the ones in DC on January 6th is that the DC rioters were sent to "fight like hell" and "stop the steal" which really meant "stop the constitutional process of counting the electoral college votes" and the people who took advantage of the cover of crowds to commit theft and vandalism and who were not directed or supported by any elected official.

Even now republicans attempt to say that the riot was just like tourists walking through the building and that they weren't afraid of them....even with over 100 policemen injured by the rioters.

The death of the capitol hill policeman at the hands of the Farrakhan follower was hardly something you can blame Obama for, but nice try. Farrakhan actually praised Trump.

After the 2016 interference in the election people were feeling skeptical about whether or not the Russians would have improved their efforts to keep Trump in the WH.

You are attempting to turn that into a single opinion that democrats are going to steal the election, as Trump spouted during his rallies.

My evidence that democracy was alive and well was the record turnout, showing a vast majority of voters believed their voices would be heard.

While you can continue to argue that the election was stolen...you continue to lose every single attempt to contest the elections in court. The damage being done is by people like you, Trump, Giuliani, Powell and Lindell (and other republicans) who continue to spew the bullshit that they have evidence when clearly they do not.

How Trump cultists “feel” about the election is not relevant. The issue for sane people is whether there is any objective evidence to doubt the outcome of the election. There is not. If Trump stops telling the Big Lie his cultists would stop doubting the integrity of voting and the counting of the ballots. Of course, Trump will never stop telling the Big Lie. He will happily destroy the country instead.

You're arguing with a paid shill, possibly several of them all posing as this poster
Are you a paid shill or unpaid?

Where is your evidence that anyone else here is paid?

Is your complaint that your opponents must be professionals since they consistently kick your ass? Seems to me the only reason to try to make that accusation stick is to excuse your own failure to debate the issues.

FBI Director Christopher Wray punched a sizable hole in the Democrats’ narrative about the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol complex. He reminded Democrats that the event was nothing like the “horror” of 9/11. He taught them that the word “insurrection” has a precise legal meaning and that he can’t use the term in the same way that Democrats hug the word. He also noted that there were three groups at the Capitol that day, and not all of them were committing violent crimes.

I've said that over and over.

While Americans are more concerned with violence in their neighborhoods, especially if they live in a Democrat-controlled city trying to defund the police, the leftists in Congress want to focus on the violence at the Capitol that occurred on Jan. 6, 2021.

Democrats have excused violence and mayhem in American cities for the last year. They have advocated to release leftist rioters from jail. Democrat prosecutors have dismissed charges.

Kamala Harris encouraged support for a Minnesota organization that help raise bail for those charged with rioting after the killing of George Floyd.

In that context it must have been jarring to Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee to hear Wray state clearly that the Jan. 6 incident was not comparable to the “horror” of the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

They appeal to the visceral by calling the Jan. 6 incident an “insurrection” even though they know the legal definition is not met.

Democrats, even in the Judiciary hearing, argue that the rioting for the past year is merely a series of peaceful protests and simply an exercise of First Amendment rights, but paint everyone who came to the Capitol on Jan. 6 as “insurrectionists” attempting to take over the government.

More here

Here is the actual hearing. The question about the riot being an insurrection is at 2:39. It is not as described by The Hill. He did not disagree that it was an insurrection.

Movement A
directed by the president of the country to disrupt the constitutional process of certifying the election. The intent was clearly to intimidate Congress and the VP into rejecting the Electors who were representing the battleground states and overturning the election.

Movement B
demonstrations around the country driven by abuses by police departments. Coincident with those demonstrations there were riots motivated by the idea that the crowds demonstrating would be cover for people who would commit acts of vandalism and theft. No elected officials encouraged the criminal acts of those who participated in riots.

The opposite of reality ... the violence of 1/6 was widely supported by Trumpists while the riots were not supported by anyone ... unless you count the bulk of the murders which were by right-wingers seeking to silence leftist protesters.

I believe bear spray as opposed to open assassination as left wingers have done and called far is a little different, dontcha think? Derp.

Absolutely there was. In terms of the amount of terror inflicted on innocent Americans, the billions in property, thousands of businesses looted and destroyed, the dozens of American lives....including police officers.....lost through murder. It persisted for months on end. Innumerable number of wounded. The tens of thousands of arrests.

And Harris called for help in bailing out these these terrorists AFTER she knew the horror they were inflicting on America.

Evil lives.

The death of the capitol hill policeman at the hands of the Farrakhan follower was hardly something you can blame Obama for, but nice try. Farrakhan actually praised Trump.
He was a left winger driven by a hateful, anti-Jew ideology that your people.....including many in Congress.....openly in embrace.

Evil lives.
