The guy has a good point. It's a destructive cancer in the black community and across the nation for all communities. Unfortunately, we have many in the Liberal camp who would rather blame either the victims (btw, many are black), or making excuses for the poor behavior by giving a pass based on skin color.
In effect, the Liberals are co-dependent enablers of the destruction of the black community overall because they need them to be segregated for use as a voting bloc. A black person who really wants to know who is "keeping them down?" merely needs to look in the mirror and then immediately look left towards Liberal land.
There ya go...

Fla. sheriff won’t cower; condemns ‘thug culture’ in black community
Eschewing the golden rule of racial politics, that a white man dare not criticize black Americans, a Florida sheriff is turning heads with a no-nonsense video suggesting a “thug culture” is destroying the African-American community.
Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan began the message, posted early this week, by calling the term African-American “divisive.”
“We’re Americans,” he said.
Morgan said many of the issues plaguing his county’s minority community are issues of perception, pointing to President Barack Obama’s election as a clear sign that America is not a racist nation.
“Not that many years ago, the thought of electing an African-American president would have been unthinkable in the United States of America,” Morgan said. “And I would remind black Americans that you are a little less than 13 percent of the entire population of the United States. The statistics are that, if we’re such a racist nation, why do we currently have an African-American president?”
The sheriff then questioned the messages promoted by black culture.
“We have, unfortunately, in the black community embraced a thug culture, one that aggrandizes, again, foul language, shooting cops, abusing women,” he said. “And if you don’t think those things have an effect on children, you need to get a grip.”
Morgan then raised what the mainstream media considers a taboo topic: black crime on white Americans.
“Where’s the public outrage in that?” he asked.
The outrage is sure to come, but Morgan may be surprised to learn the anger will likely be turned on him. There is a reason why Americans are “cowards,” as outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder called them, when it comes to race.
