I think my years in this forum have established that I'm firmly libertarian, which most people take as right wing even though it isn't. I've taken first and second shots on the Moderna vaccine and will take a booster once they're available here in Germany. The anti-science stance of the religious right on this is disturbing. Vaccination has been a proven medical procedure for more than 200 years, and the science is much better now than it was then.

But some of this is the fault of liberals who have politicized science on other issues, attempting to "study" gun control with an agency meant to study and reduce disease, and the politicization of global-warming science to the extent that the scientists try to keep their research from being FOIA'd, let alone published in detail.

Science is what it is.

Religious fanatics politicize it-With reagan kicking it in the ass. :mad:

As a Libertarian, what's your position on abortion?

I appreciate your point of view. But the fact is that Pfizer and Moderna are mRNA injection technology. A technology that has never before delivered a product for human consumption and is experimental by definition. The "vaccines" target a single epitope - the S protein spike - while most naturally occurring immune responses target 12 to 16 epitopes. The "vaccines" may escape the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome aspect of a Covid infection but they introduce the S protein spike which is the identified pathogen that does extreme damage. The S protein spike alone injected into mice raked the vascular system of said mice. Young people who take the vaccine and have a severe adverse reaction seem to uptake the mRNA and express the S protein spike very efficiently and for a long time.

So I urge you NOT to ascribe no desire to take the "vaccines" as a religious right political stance nor anti-science. Though the use of aborted fetal cells is a very valid moral issue as far as I'm concerned.

This viral pandemic like the Spanish flu of 1918 is destined to fade away by becoming more infectious and less lethal. That is unless "vaccinated" people harbor the virus and evolve it to be more dangerous (or even an ADE - antibody dependent enhancement type of reaction when the vaccine efficacy wanes).

It is not a system to be trusted that according to Fauci lies for our own good. For example they were saying for some time that vaccination acquired immunity was more powerful than naturally acquired immunity even while Israeli data disproved that as they said it and contravening prior vaccination knowledge.

Note that a "vaccine" ordinarily takes 7 to 12 years to develop. This one happened in less than or around a years time.

I could go on but that will suffice me. ;0) You made a valid choice but don't discount the choice others make as somehow irrational or unscientific.

Let's see the studies.

Where do you think the vaccines for polio, measles, chicken pox. etc came from?

@ObamacareForever

I noticed how you avoided confessing to your getting your 3rd Covid gene therapy injection. How'd it go? Your eyebrows fall off?

Keep it up and you might still make the X-Men Team.:rolleyes:
I haven't got my 3rd shot as I am not eligible for the 3rd shot yet.
Also(the first two shots) are not experimental, nor is it gene therapy.

Try reading something that isn't fiction.

So you're not over 65, working in a hazardous Covid environment, nor immunocompromised. I bet if you just show up and ask for it they'll give it to you anyways.

They most certainly are experimental. It takes usually at least 7 years to get a vaccine approved. You have that time in order to see what the long term effects of the vaccine might be. Can't do that under a year.

Try reading something that isn't fiction.
Try and see if they'll give you the third shot. Or...
Try reading the vax insert. See if it is still a blank sheet.

@EatTheRich

Don't you want to do you civic duty and witness to the other believers (and disbelievers) to the power of faith in the 3rd experimental gene therapy injection ceremony you've partaken in? Or tell us when you plan to do so you can come back and share?

What better way to convince than to testify. To bear witness. Honestly, unless I see a good number of XGTI fans sharing their story of glory I don't see why I should bother getting in line. Do you?
I haven’t gotten a booster shot and will not until it is recommended by the scientists at the CDC.

You're over 65 so line up. Get your booster. You work in a Covid heavy environment book store so line up. Let me know how it goes. I'm curious for a first hand account.

What You Need to Know
COVID-19 Vaccine booster shots are available for the following Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine recipients who completed their initial series at least 6 months ago and are:

Well, I'm not going to allow myself to get drawn into an extensive debate. Taking the vaccine reduces the chances of getting the disease not by one or two percent, but by 18,000 percent. Any stance against it stands opposed to proven science.

Messenger RNA is BETTER than traditional vaccines, because it is more narrowly targeted. But all vaccines are based on DNA/RNA. The original injection from which we get the term "vaccination" was cowpox, used to immunize for smallpox. The body would recognize the cellular composition of cowpox (its DNA/RNA) as smallpox and activate antibodies that then could ALSO kill smallpox. Scientists today can manipulate virual MRNA so that it activates the bodies immune system in the same way. The vaccine effectively creates a non-lethal target for the immune system -- it changes the DNA and RNA of the vaccine recipient in no way.

Like I said. You made a valid choice with the information that you proceeded with. It might even be the correct choice. I'm disappointed my post was unable to convince you as to the apolitical and scientific reasons a person could choose in an informed fashion NOT to take the Covid "vaccine."

Apolitical, I might buy. Pro science? No way. I've read the science, and the science does not support an anti-vac stance.

Well, I spent a good deal of time in the prior post on the science aspect and you didn't address any of the points. But that's fine. We simply disagree. As long as you maintain faith with your libertarians ideals we won't likely confront each other over vaccine mandates as that would be anathema to you.

Have you taken your booster yet? Have you taken your third shot? Are you mixing flavors of vaccine?
Technically, I don't meet the qualifications for eligibility for the booster. I'm only 62 and don't meet any of the other special conditions for eligibility. Nov. 7th will be six months from my second Pfizer dose. I'd schedule a booster if I was eligible.
