So, what do you expect will happen should STEAL.20 succeed.?

And how will the media explain it?

The new lefty response: “Yes, but no one knows of another direction to go”. Increasingly, this is how Democrats answer Joe Biden’s unpopularity.

The contortions never end.

What we need is a leftist alternative to Biden. One that does not shy away from unionization, nationalization, and socialization as the basis for saving the economy and reversing the political trajectory.

Well, we got soaring gas prices, runaway inflation, whacky activist SCOTUS ruling against womens reproductive rights and striking down city gun ordinances, deadlocked Senate, brutal murderous war against fledgling Democracy who we are now supporting…..No surprise that a large majority feels we are going in the wrong direction. From both sides of the political spectrum.

There are tough times in the US around the globe…We certainly need to confront and solve these dilemmas. We’ll see who is running for Congress, Senate, Governor and State Houses in November and what they present as solutions. It will certainly be interesting to see how it all comes out and what the newly elected Congress and Senate do after they are sworn in and seated in January 2023 no matter which party prevails.

Meanwhile there is a white hot spotlight on Biden and his team who have been taking a lot of heat from the main stream press for their performance over the last 18 months. But there is still 2 1/2 years left in the 4 year term he was elected to. My hope is that Biden‘s team does their best to alleviate some of these hardships and that whoever gets control of the House and Senate tries to work across the aisle and with the President to take some positive steps to lead us forward.

I guess you and many others may think these are the rantings of a crazed “leftist” and that the real American thinkers here are those that lay it on the line by screaming that Brandon has fvcked it all up single-handedly and the real issues are Hunters lap top, Kamala screwing Willy Brown 30 years ago and AOC leading us into a Communist dystopia on purpose in order to intentionally ruin America.

That certainly seems to be the prevailing thought process from the so called right these days. At least that’s all I’m hearing from them. My hope is that even those who did not vote for Biden come back to reality, quit whining about stolen elections and come forth with candidates who have positive ideas about how to get past these problems instead of sitting on the sidelines throwing turds.

We need a candidate who can win, and if Trump is the GOP candidate, Biden already beat him.

That is. coincidentally, why my garden is weed free.

Until we start looking past the next election to the world’s long-term future, we will keep getting the sorts of failures bourgeois democracy calls forth. Bidens and Trumps as far as the eye can see.

I still prefer Biden to Trump, and Biden already trounced Trump.

In any case, I can't imagine you'd vote since that would mean participating in a 'bourgeois democracy.'

I do think Biden would beat Trump if they ran against each other again … but Trump beat Biden among registered voters in the last head to head hypothetical match up. I do vote, on the principle that a vote for a socialist candidate is a test of strength and particularly a vote for a particular tendency within the socialist movement as opposed to another. But I do not expect the vote to be a means to political power directly speaking. Rather, voting is a tactic used to advance the program of forming a revolutionary vanguard that can guide the workers and farmers to victory when they inevitably rise up in insurrection against a ruling class that has pushed them too far and left itself too vulnerable.

I cannot believe you have become so bourgeois.

Back during my first stint at PJ, I marveled at your communist discipline, and when I asked with fake innocence what renting properties for profit made me, you didn't hesitate to call me a parasite on society: That was (is?) the right answer, and I appreciated it.

That is no more, and it saddens me.

Can we expect more smashing successes like the USSR, Cuba, China? Oh Boy!!

Even a counterrevolutionary workers’ state is better than no workers’ state at all. If you want to see a disaster, look no further than the restoration of capitalism in Russia, Ukraine, China, Uzbekistan, etc.

I only support governments that allow citizens to openly call the top officials ass holes and scoundrels. Bring forth a Commie government that allows that and then we can talk. So far, none of these peoples paradises have had that policy.

Thank you all for not answering either of the two questions. too difficult I suppose.

We need a competent option. That a nation of 340 million people yields the options of Biden and Trump is unforgivable. Our system filters for filth.

The “crazed leftist(s)” I referenced is the specific subset who meet every observation that Biden is stinking up the place with “we don’t know who else we got”. That is their answer…over and again. 340 million people to choose from…we got Biden and Trump as options. That is inexcusable.

There is no question this country is deteriorating badly. Badly. Quality of life trajectory can be said to be neither improving nor even holding steady. Across varied metrics, this nation is struggling. To what extent we hold those currently in power accountable varies by agenda, but we need to survey the landscape accurately and acknowledge the current state of matters. We need much better leadership than the hacks we have.

Early on some of our wisest forefathers warned us about this two party bullshit. I think they were right. I would like to see more independent thinkers in Congress instead of party lackeys.

No, there are plenty of directions we can go.

Problem is no one agrees on which direction to go.

Sorry, Boca. Here are my answers:
1) I don’t believe 2020 was a “stolen” election. I do think COVID was milked to allow a few states to ILLEGALLY change voting regulations sans the constitutionally required process (this is fact). If 2024 were to be a “stolen” and/or fraud-fraught election, the tiny amount of remaining faith in the system would crumble, and citizen loyalty along with it. We would be done as a nation. We’re already almost there.

2) How would the media cover it? Media covers ALL matters according to philosophically desired outcomes rather than sober realism. Therefore, cheat or no cheat, media coverage will not vary. Pro-lefty, anti-righty by the vast majority of outlets. Active downplaying of any irregularities if their guy(s) are doing well…amplified breathless microscope-coverage if their guy(s) are not.

The usual suspects have wrecked our system. Few respect, let alone trust, any media outlets, the three government branches, or the vast, unaccountable bureaucratic agencies thereof. That sh*t is going downhill fast. I don’t see this changing.

Regarding the need for a huge upgrade in leadership here in America, you will certainly not get any argument from me. As far as holding those in power accountable, the majority of our elected representatives have to run every two years. Senators have to run every 6 years. Lifetime appointments for Federal Judges certainly could be revisited for accountability’s sake. I would favor a 10 year term limit on them. It’s up to the people to find and elect better qualified and men and women of higher moral character to represent them at all levels. Apathy among a majority of eligible voters is definitely a problem.
