Gallup Poll: 83% of Americans Say Country Headed In Wrong Direction…

Early on some of our wisest forefathers warned us about this two party bullshit. I think they were right. I would like to see more independent thinkers in Congress instead of party lackeys.
Me too. And far, FAR fewer “lifers”. What is this BS about making an entire CAREER in politics? How about representatives who can actually relate to citizens by virtue of their being former insurance agents, school teachers, physicians, engineers, etc? I have always opposed term limits, but I now favor them. Term limits that limit eligibility ACROSS elected government branches and agencies. You simply age out rather than shuttling from the House to the Senate. If our citizens are too stupid to see to it (and, apparently, we are) then systemic institutionalized boundaries should be laid.

It won’t happen, because the entrenched forbid it. So…we just keep voting for whichever uninspiring, alsoran sloth we prefer and enjoy the decline. Me and mine are doing fine. I hate for that to be the measure of my investment though.

We need a competent option. That a nation of 340 million people yields the options of Biden and Trump is unforgivable. Our system filters for filth.
If only an awesome dude like you would run.

Or at least someone like you who meets your lofty standards.

I only support governments that allow citizens to openly call the top officials ass holes and scoundrels. Bring forth a Commie government that allows that and then we can talk. So far, none of these peoples paradises have had that policy.
The Paris Commune did that … so did Lenin’s government before under conditions of Civil War speech began to be limited. Although they did not establish socialism, Nicaragua’s pro-communist government allowed that. Cuba formally outlaws disparaging the president and the government, but how many people are actually prosecuted for that these days?

This was also in effect allowed by the Nagy government in Hungary and the Dubcek government in Czechoslovakia.
