God punishing California with fires because of plastic straw ban.

4/15

Mayor
Maybe God will be merciful and break California off at the San Andreas fault line and dump the whole pile of shit off into the ocean. That would put out the fires.
I'd lose two cousins, who live in San Jose, but that's a small price to pay to get rid of all those illegal democrats, perverts, 2 Commie senators and 55 electoral votes.
Your tezass IQ is showing. The San Andreas cuts through the heart of the SF bay and then out to sea. The other end runs to Los Angeles and would put so many republicans to death. And tezass has a great number of perves and trannys. Only republicans are illegal.

Anyone ever see that video of that huge leatherback turtle that had a straw stuck in it's nose? They pulled it out with pliers, must have been in there for a long time. We can live without straws just like we now bring bags to the grocery stores. Plastic is going to kill us one day, its everywhere. Stores now have straws made of hemp, biodegradable and they work.
Well, 95% of plastic waste comes from just 10 rivers. Sounds like you're serious about it though. When you go for your world war to stop plastic pollution this is your map. Notice where you'll be spending most of your time?

Hint: not in the USA. Do you think you could live NOT in the USA while on your crusade?

What is it with you guys on the left and your misplaced literalism. You and Middler should start a quilting circle.

Puzzling Evidence

Free range human living on a tax farm.

Don't give up on relatives unless they are the evil kind for anything ---

and even then don't sacrifice them!

The zombie apocalypse is working its way through california. ;)

On a brighter note.......

I have a friend who flies into sacramento 5 times a year with her husband for a quicky vacation away from the kids.

She always asks me if she's placed detonators in the right spots.

I'm like wth do I know?
You and hubby keep rocking it like an earthquake and the world will find out --- but my lips are X and I won't tell what REALLY shook the San Andreas fault line.

I love my friends

I know, its not a pretty sight out there when these rivers just dump everything into the oceans. As with all efforts though, one step is better then no step. We do our share here in California hoping that our example can lead the way for others to follow. If we gave up, it would mean we don't give a damn. We do care and it is not an inconvenience at all. After all, we roll up 100 dollar bills out here, straws are for the poor people.

Sac is not the San Andreas...just saying.

Do you know what is good about plastic? That is disposable. It is more hygienic. It improves the human condition when used properly and recycled. Maybe the law about straws should have been a dollar deposit and you'd get better results albeit at a higher cost and you'd make more sense.

Raising fines and enforcing littering laws would make more sense even if we are responsible for less that 1% of the plastic in the oceans.

Well, we won't be seeing as many straws in our waterways and streets. If the only reason to do something about the environment is tied to a global effort to do the same thing then you will never see anyone do anything about it. Your logic reminds me of the Global Warming pact Trump junked, same logic. Sorry, we do our bit over here as we have done so always. It was not that long ago we forced catalytic converters on cars, now they are everywhere. See how it works? We lead, the rest follow.

My 2 cousins are Right Wing fanatics. I don't know how that happened, their having grown up in California. Their folks were originally from Texas and went out to Cali when the boys were very young. I have only met them one time when they came back to Texas for a visit when we were all kids.
Both of them wereCivil War reenactors (Confederates) and were extras in the movie, Gettysburg.
I was, of course, being facetious about hoping California would fall off in the ocean. I'd prefer that they secede from the Union.

Are these some of the folks you care about?

Of course, why would I not care about homeless people? You do realize my daughter lived in the Tenderloin for five years....I saw plenty of homeless, heroin addicts, crack heads, etc. They never once threatened my daughter, not once.
