He can tell the Big Lie relentlessly, claiming that he really won the election but it was stolen from him. No problem. Not a word of protest from GOP leaders as he tells the Big Lie all day, every day.
BUT, if Republicans like Liz Cheney weigh in on the topic and disagree with the Big Lie, they get excommunicated from positions of GOP leadership. Trump’s sycophants in the GOP say she is “living in the past” when she mentions Trump’s Big Lie. Because she refutes it.
The lesson in the GOP is clear - one can endlessly talk about the election when telling the Big Lie, like Trump, but one cannot talk about the election unless one supports the Big Lie.
Think about that - it’s literally true that one can thrive in today’s GOP only if one lies. Tell the truth, and you’re gone.
