GOP Senators turning against Trump on his documents madness

Even some of his most loyal sycophants now admit that declassifying documents requires following a process, not just “presidential thoughts”….

Have GOP senators FINALLY had enough of Trump’s lunacy? Stay tuned!

Members of Congress are generally cowardly. At the slightest nudge they run for cover afraid something will blow up into them losing votes. Over some time, it all settles out and truth takes charge. Ho hum.

I recall some senators backing away from Trump because of Hillary Clinton's attack ads regarding outsourcing. That flopped, then there was the disabled reporter whom Trump was attacked for allegedly mocking his disabiity. That flopped. Then there was the McCain remarks. Then there was the thousands of people on rooftops cheering 9/11 attacks.

After all was said and done, none of the senatprs who backed away from Trump on these issues, still held those positions, time having brought truth to the fore, and the attacks were shown as invalid and stupid.

This one is furious at any senators who don’t fully support Trump’s crimes. A hopeless cultist.

The difference is between doing so with the government’s permission and cooperating to return them, vs. doing it without permission.
Trump outright steals documents and leaves them laying around in his social club, including the most sensitive classified documents in existence, refuses to return them when asked, lies about whether he still had them, and his cultists’ reaction is basically “Yeah? So what?”

Deplorable!

Since you obviously haven't done any research on this you really don't know what was acceptable and what wasn't.

The National Archives chose a warehouse in Hoffman Estates to temporarily store records related to Obama's administration.

WASHINGTON — Before the doors of President Barack Obama's library open on Chicago's South Side, truckloads of White House archives will be shipped to a former furniture store in the northwest suburbs.

A massive volume of paperwork, electronic data and artifacts will find a temporary home at the old Plunkett Home Furnishings store on Golf Road in Hoffman Estates. As many as 120 employees will be brought in by the National Archives and Records Administration to sort through the material, which ultimately will be part of the Obama Presidential Center.

First stop for Obama library archives? An empty furniture store in Hoffman Estates – Chicago Tribune

Did the Archives have anything to do with the records Trump had at Mar-A-Lago?

They were under the watchfulness of the secret service.

Really?
The documents sent to Chicago were under the control of the National Archives.

You assume that the Secret Service had agents standing in front of a store room or on duty in Trump's office even when he wasn't there? You're wrong. Meanwhile there is nothing that allowed Trump to take any government documents with him as he left the White House and especially not documents marked Top Secret.
