I know that there are Democrats in the North, and in the South.

I know that there are Republicans in the North, and in the South.

I know that the Republican Party has never embraced the KKK, and that the Democratic Party once did.

Now elements of the current DNC are ready embrace groups that topple statues and enflame racial tensions.

These are facts, and they are not in dispute.

There were Republican KKK governors, allegedly a president (Harding) as well. The KKK was historically tied to the Democratic Party, especially in the time of Grant and Forrest. But it was always open to reaction from every quarter.

Yes. And iirc they were all Democrats before becoming Republicans.
