Health Insurance Costs

Zam-Zam

Senator
Like pretty much everything else these days, health insurance costs are about to spike:

Signing up for health insurance coverage in 2024? You may be in for a shock.

In 2024, employer coverage costs are set to increase by approximately 6.5 percent, according to survey data from Mercer and Willis Towers Watson, two benefits consulting firms. This could be the biggest surge in over 10 years, notes The Wall Street Journal, which was the first to report on the survey.

Increasing labor costs at hospitals and more spending on weight-loss and diabetes drugs like Ozempic are two factors contributing to these higher costs, experts told the Journal.

The business impact could be daunting. Annual family premiums for employer-sponsored health insurance already cost an average of $22,463, with employees contributing approximately $6,106 and employers picking up the rest, according to a 2022 survey from the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Bidenomics? Funny how the BidenBesties™ all claim that Jor Biden has done a great job with the economy - compared to who? Jimmy Carter? Herbert Hoover?

And what are the solutions proposed by Republicans for higher insurance cost ?

Amazing how you folks complain all the time but never hold the GOP accountable for the poor results on their watch or when ever they are in the driver's seat.

Why don't they ever just shut up and get to work rather than whine, moan and act helpless ?

Step one: Stop doing what we've been doing to get into this mess.

That means cleaning house.

Will that fix it? maybe. Or maybe the next group will be just as bad as this one.

But we know this administration is an abject failure. That's been proven.

And so, they have to go.

No, throwing your hands up in the air and leaving will not solve the problem.
Because you will vote for more of the same GOP incompetence you've got now.

Just different set of jaws jabbing about how bad problems are without the shoulders to put to the grindstone to solve them.

Honesty tell me the last thing you remember GOP'ers doing to make regular people's live better.

But they sure as hell can complain about how bad their lives are while doing nothing in their power to change it.

Dunno who you’re referring to. Few in history, if any, can match Biden’s record for job growth and low unemployment. Impressive, no?

I'm happy with the 3.8% unemployment rate. That's good - JoeyB can brag about it and I won't even bitch him out by saying that this would have happened under any President when the pandemic eased. He didn't screw that part up. He gets credit for this.

Isn't that why I am the greatest poster here? Because of my impartiality and true bipartisanship? There hasn't been any commentator anywhere that tells it like it the way I do..... at least not since Howard Cosell died. He was almost as good as me.

Biden has been a failure as President. Even you must know that.

If you don't, you're in the minority. Most have figured it out.

Civil Rights Act of 1964
So you had to go back almost 60 yrs before you found something you could claim as GOP'ers doing something for average Americans.

You do realize that exactly ZERO serving GOP'ers had anything to do with that at all.
Also the GOP nominee in 1964 OPPOSED the civil right act.
This Day In 1964, Goldwater Says No To Civil Rights Bill

So we are going to have to call that one a swing and a miss !
