Here He Comes: Obama Swoops In and Attempts To Take Credit for Current Economic Success

Obama: "Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history.”​

Trump: “Did you hear the latest con job? President Obama is now trying to take credit for the Economic Boom taking place under the Trump Administration. He had the WEAKEST recovery since the Great Depression, despite Zero Fed Rate & MASSIVE quantitative easing. NOW, best jobs numbers ever. Had to rebuild our military, which was totally depleted. Fed Rate UP, taxes and regulations WAY DOWN. If Dems won in 2016, the USA would be in big economic (Depression?) & military trouble right now. THE BEST IS YET TO COME. KEEP AMERICA GREAT!” ​

The Wall Street Journal asked 68 economists who was responsible for the booming economy and the economists suggested that it was “President Trump, and not Obama, who should be taking a bow.”

Given the Left is so obsessed with identity groups, you'd think they'd love all this:

• The unemployment rates for blacks, Hispanics, and Asians have all hit all-time record lows under the Trump administration
• More than 6.2 million Americans have been lifted off of food stamps.
• For the first time, most new hires of prime working age (25 to 54) are people of color
• Minority hires overtook white hires last year. Women are predominantly driving this trend, which is so powerful that even many women who weren’t thinking about working — because they were in school, caring for kids or at home for other reasons — are being lured into employment.
• Average income for female-led single-parent households jumped 7.6 percent last year, well ahead of gains in higher income groups.
• The poverty rate among female-led households fell 2.7 percent for African Americans, and 4 percent for Hispanics. Industries largely populated by women (and, historically, exploited women),
• Workers’ earnings increasing at 3.4 percent annually, a rate not seen since the best of the Reagan years
• poverty rate has declined to 11.8 percent, the best figure that has been recorded since the end of the Clinton administration and still resolutely proceeding in the right direction.

So any bad numbers under Obama were Bush's fault, but good numbers under Trump are Obama's doing.

Boy, that's a doozy.

And why shouldn’t Obama take credit for it?

He inherited GWB’s economic disaster, instituted his recovery policies, and we then moved to recovery, including record shattering streaks of jobs growth and economic growth, along with a near tripling of the markets. Those conditions were bequeathed to Trump, and they continue to date (although Trump’s jobs numbers are subpar compared to the job growth numbers he inherited from Obama).

You seem to hate reality. Obama likes reality.
