You are quite right on that,Barbella. Until money is taken out of politics we will stay beaten down.

And,with the USSC decision on Corporations we can see the corruption goes right to those who are supposed to protect us.

Good post.

ONLY the people who let themselves be bought by Goldman Sachs etc can rise to the top, no matter which party they belong to.

Think about it....whoever wins the election wins because he's financed by huge corporations, bankers, and "the rich".

"The rich" expect something in return. There's no such thing as a free lunch, politicians damn well know it, and they're not about to bite the hand that fed them.

That's all there's to it, sadly. This, of course, is nothing new...it's been the same old shit for a hundred years or more, and why WOULD it stop? Unless we, The People, stand up and say "ENOUGH", nothing will change. Money talks, bullshit walks.
"MONEY" is the international drug, to which the vast majority of Human Beings are clinically addicted.

Even in the DRUG TRADE, it is the MONEY for which most people murder, kill and maim, not the "drug" itself.

Steal $100,000.00, from a local bank, and you will be punished. Steal $5,000.00 from a Federal Reserve Banks, and, you will be punished HARSHLY.

It is ALL "about da money!"

hmm so what would you rather see? Folks who have no interest in having the economy improve but has an ideology about how economies should operate? A Lenin? (Read Ron Paul)
Or better yet, someone from poverty who wants to become wealhty by looting the economy? An Evita Peron? (read Perry)
How about a populist who claims grass roots support of those who feel screwed - like Tea Partiers feel? A Chavez or Fujimori? (read Santorum or Bachmann)

ReallY?

35% of the American public does not even have a HS diploma.
38% more don't even have an Associates Degree

Do you really think that these folks understand what policies will work well to run the economy? They could barely reason their way through High School.

indeed, this is always particularly amusing coming from dedicated rightwingers that never miss an opportunity to bash BHO/dems/lefties, but rarely those they vote almost exclusively for who champion all of the causes for the 1% that buy them, and oppose all the stuff designed for and intended to benefit the little people

It's (both sides are equally guilty) really little more than a false equivalence they use to burnish their "moderate" credentials, like it can get that job done while erasing their obvious dedication to rightwingnut causes, and aversion to all things "left".
