Agreed. That’s why I say he’s wasting his time with his current approach, which is geared toward appealing to “non-Trumpie” Republicans. Trump cultists hate Pence, they always will, and remaining Republicans are too few to support a credible candidacy.

Pence’s fate (and the fate of the nation) depends upon whether all notable GOP leaders finally agree to admit the obvious - Trump lost the election, and his refusal to admit it is based on lies. And that is VERY unlikely to happen. Pence is screwed, and so is the nation.
