God of War

Governor
The testimony from Meadows aide shows they were planning violence on Jan 6.

Then there is the testimony from Donahue about emails between planners about occupying the capitol and federal buildings.
And Nahzi_sieg_heil_Pelosi didn't take the DC Guard to protect the capitol? Wonder why?

Funny how the FBI drops the ball again.

Now they have played police radio recordings of people with glocks, ar-15s...so much for the argument that nobody had guns.

Funny McConnell didn't request troops. Wonder why.

Even funnier, Trump didn't order troops until hours after the rioters had breached the capitol.

Need a little more than hearsay Middler. You need documentation, pictures, testimony, and arrests on gun charges.

Not his job. Nahzi's job.
McConnell is the guy who the Senate Sergeant at arms reports to. As such he would share equally with Pelosi the responsibility for Capitol security.

Seems your logic is that the mob isn't responsible for their actions and only obey the law when they see a lot of law enforcement nearby....

Probably because she had absolutely no authority to accept or reject them.
She runs the capitol security in that she hires and fires the police chief. She's like the mayor of the capitol. Are you saying her police chief did not consult with her in regards to using National Guard prior to Jan. 6? Is that what you're alleging?

Who hires and fires the police chief of the capitol police?
The Capitol Police Board.

The United States Capitol Police (USCP) is overseen by the Capitol Police Board and has Congressional oversight by appropriations and authorizing committees from the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. This oversight affords the Department the support and opportunity to continually ensure that the USCP meets the safety and security needs of the Congress, the staff, and the many visitors who come to the United States Capitol each day.

Capitol Police Board
  • Karen H. Gibson, United States Senate Sergeant at Arms (Member)
  • William J. Walker, U.S. House of Representatives Sergeant at Arms (Chair)
  • J. Brett Blanton, Architect of the Capitol (Member)
  • J. Thomas Manger, Chief of Police (Ex-Officio Member)

No she doesn't....

If you are making the claim that she is in charge, prove it.

quite the kangaroo court, that...
People aren't quite eating it up the way some on the left may have imagined they would:

Ratings for the June 9 prime-time hearing by the House panel investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol incursion show Americans would have preferred some straight news.

In a review of ratings shared by Newsbusters, a clear pattern emerged.

Every one of the three major broadcast networks that aired the hearing ended up with a smaller audience than if they had simply provided their usual news content.

For example, ABC’s haul of 4.35 million viewers for the hearing might seem impressive, but it usually draws 7.4 million viewers for “World News Tonight,” based on ratings from the week of June 1.

The same trend was repeated on NBC, where the novelty of a prime-time hearing attracted 3.31 million viewers, about half of the 6.06 million viewers who usually watch the news on NBC. Over at CBS, curiosity managed to attract 3.24 million viewers, but that was below the nightly average of 4.3 million viewers.

The 18-49 age group in particular was turned off by the substitution of the hearing for the news. Across the networks, an average of 596,000 viewers in that age range watched the hearings. However, 996,000 viewers would be watching the news on an average night.

Holy shit! The testimony that Trump wanted to go to the capitol to lead the mob is incredible...that he'd actually physically assault his own people in an attempt to force his will on his SS detail is just more evidence that Trump should never have been in the White House, even as a tourist.

quite the kangaroo court, that...
The testimony just presented, shows the Jan 6 insurrection was even worse than we thought and showed Trump was a president full of fury and he displayed violence himself.
Testimony was really amazing... Trump's anger/hostility level, if he watched today is probably off the charts.
