https://www.yahoo.com/news/ice-raids-reckoning-mississippis-chicken-162722224.html

MORTON, Miss. — Juan Grant strode into the Koch Foods chicken processing plant for his new job on a Wednesday morning, joining many other African Americans in a procession of rubber boots, hairnets and last cigarettes before the grind.

At 20, Grant was too young to remember the days of a nearly all-white workforce in Mississippi’s poultry industry or the civil rights boycotts and protests that followed. He was too young to have seen how white workers largely moved on after that, leaving the business of killing, cutting and packing to African Americans.

He did not know the time before Hispanic workers began arriving in the heart of chicken country by the thousands, recruited by plant managers looking to fill low-paying jobs in an expanding industry.

But Grant clearly remembered Aug. 7, the day the Trump administration performed sweeping immigration raids on seven chicken plants in central Mississippi. He remembered the news flashing on his phone: 680 Hispanic workers arrested. He remembers seeing an opportunity.

Go Donny go....………………………

May every American be able to support their family, well.

As long as the government keeps playing favorites for who can get jobs based on race, citizenship, or legal status, the bosses will be able to pit us against each other on those lines and thus limit job opportunities and drive wages down for everyone.

Illegals have no right to be here, they can just as easily come here legally to work, but they chose wrong

No. If they could just as easily come here legally, no one would ever come illegally. But the number allowed to come legally is arbitrarily kept far below the number demanded by the bosses’ supply and demand system, for the sole purpose of creating a pariah layer of superexploited individuals on whom the techniques of class warfare can be refined before they are applied more broadly.

No, what’s important is every worker in the world having enough. Your worship of the billionaires’ state stands in the way of that, though.

LOL so now you want the USA to take every person in the World who wants a job.

That would be about 500,000,000 from China in the first wave, another 500,000,000 from India making Mexico small beans.

If you had a brain you would think

Keep being poor and hoping that Warren gives you my money

No, I want international economic planning that gives each worker a job, after the corrupt capitalist regimes are smashed and replaced by workers’ states. Such planning would involve a more efficient distribution of the world’s population, putting more people in sparsely populated countries with high levels of industrial development such as the U.S. and fewer in economically backward, crowded countries like India using moral and market incentives. Instead, an inefficient distribution is maintained by violence in order to protect the wealth and political hegemony of the world’s ruling billionaires.

Giving each worker a job is communism kid. Seriously what if they give you a job you hate?

You might be a toilet cleaner of public urinals

After all you do that anyway with your tongue

You want to live like the people in Venezuela?

Capitalism needs people to clean urinals too, remember? The difference is that under capitalism job availability depends on the needs of the ruling billionaires and the best jobs go to the families and cronies of those billionaires whereas under socialism it depends on the needs of the public at large and the best jobs go to the most talented.

The failure of capitalism is apparent in Venezuela.

But under capitalism the people cleaning urinals either want to do this or can not get any other job. Under your system the government would decide who does what which means you would do as you were told with no choice or freedom

You are brain dead like all communist

What is the difference between “cannot get any other job” and “no choice or freedom”?

The difference is only some people can not get any other job in capitalism, under the communist plan that you want no one has a choice to get the job they choose as the government tells everyone what they are qualified to do and assigns them a job.

Now go tie a noose and use it

In every real-life socialist country, people apply for jobs through civil service-type programs. The government chooses the most qualified applicants. Similar to the capitalist model, except that under capitalism instead of a workers’ state making those decisions it is unaccountable billionaires.

Is that why the people in Venezuela and China are so happy?

You are completely brain dead, I have no doubt that you believe this shit but freedom will never back down and die for you, you will rot alive first

Venezuela and China are capitalist countries (although China was once socialist and as a result is much more prosperous now than most countries that were never socialist). Stop blaming capitalism’s failures on those of us trying to address the problem.

You are insane, delusional and possibly a full blown schitzo, but I suppose insane would suffice

Many in the media have blamed Venezuela’s worsening humanitarian crisis on corruption, mismanagement, falling oil prices, or U.S sanctions—anything but the rise of socialism in what was once the wealthiest country in South America.

Yet corruption and mismanagement were the direct result of increased government control of the economy—socialism—and in reality, lower oil prices and U.S. sanctions have little to do with the crisis. Instead, the mass starvation and exodus faced by Venezuelans are the natural consequence of the socialist policies implemented by dictators Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro.

There are three main policies implemented by Chavez since 1999 that produced the current crisis: Widespread nationalization of private industry, currency and price controls, and the fiscally irresponsible expansion of welfare programs.

One of Chavez’s first actions was to start nationalizing the agriculture sector, supposedly reducing poverty and inequality by taking from rich landowners to give to poor workers. From 1999 to 2016, his regime robbed more than 6 million hectares of land from its rightful owners.

Nationalization destroyed production in affected industries because no government has the capacity to run thousands of businesses or the profit motive to run them efficiently. Instead, government officials face incentives to please voters by selling products at low prices and hiring more employees than necessary, even when that’s the wrong industry decision.

Socialism run rampant—not cronyism, corruption, falling oil prices, or U.S. sanctions—caused the crisis in Venezuela.

Inconveniently for this writer’s thesis, the standard of living in Venezuela is higher than when Chavez was elected. If the sanctions weren’t a major cause of the crisis continuing there, the U.S. would remove them. Welfare-state capitalism is not socialism.

What does Chavez have to do with China...…………..

What you are clearly doing is creating your own reality from inside your scrambled brain.

You will never win, my father fought for freedom as did millions of others, freedom will never yield to your ignorant hateful excuse for life

It continues today, as in right now a government handout of slop

what does China have to do with your claim that nonexistent socialism ruined Venezuela?

why do you highlight that the socialist and quasi-socialist world have committed atrocities far more limited in scope than the capitalist world (such as in Indonesia where 1 million were murdered) and provide children with food?
