So you and @EatTheRich are open border guys. I call that treason in a president. Good for the two of you you aren't. ha ha
Che Guevara said, “We are for a world without borders.” But communist internationalism has always embraced the right of self-determination for oppressed nations. This is an elementary act of solidarity with the oppressed, and a means of dividing the ruling class in order more effectively to attack them (while uniting the working class in fraternity). And communists (worth the name) have never endorsed imperialist alliances like the EU, NATO, or the UN, and have counseled for imperialist countries to leave those alliances. In situations unlike the UN where the socialist country is not hamstrung by it, socialists have supported the right of socialist nations to improve their defense via alliances of convenience with capitalist powers, including such unsavory capitalist powers as Hitler’s Germany, Franco’s Spain, or Putin’s Russia, and have called on workers in those nations to give their support to such alliances without unduly compromising their freedom of action.

Europe needs the UK and the UK acts like a whipped dog as it desperately tries to do more in Ukraine than either France or Germany. ha ha

Meanwhile Boris screws around about putting a European border between N. Ireland and Ireland or in the middle of the Irish Sea between N. Ireland and Britain.

BORIS IS A REAL DONKEY. THAT EU BORDER SHOULD BE BETWEEN IRELAND AND THE CONTINENT, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ENGLISH CHANNEL. IT'S THE EU'S PROBLEM NOT THE UK'S. Churchill wouldn't have put up with this mediocre shit.

Brexit was poorly thought out from the beginning.
It was never going to be on Britain's terms, they knew that from the beginning, yet they foolishly did it anyway.

Newsome evidently tired of Calexit while in Montana as well by inviting people from other states to move to Cali and it's funny watching him being blasted for being in a state banned for travel by him!

You must want my twenty cents. I supported the Brexit vote. Not on the reactionary grounds it was sold … restricting immigration is both cruel and foolish, and the UK had the misfortune of doing so just as demand for labor peaked. But Brexit struck a blow against German imperialism, which dominates the EU and is a more pressing political danger than British xenophobia. I fully support the Irish reunification struggle. I am also sympathetically inclined to Scottish nationalism, but I respect the Scottish working class’s choice (in their majority) to seek integration instead. Both the Conservative and Labour parties were sharply divided about Brexit, but the former more so. Cameron flirted with Brexit not just because of his domestic popularity but because he was playing chicken against the German and French to improve the UK’s position in the EU. He never thought it would pass. May was pretty strongly against a Brexit and particularly a hard Brexit, reflecting the interests of the banks and businesses with strong commercial ties to Continental Europe. But she was goaded by the populist wing of her party and by the DUP into an accelerated timetable in which the confusion of the ruling class was reflected in crisis after crisis for the government. So they got Johnson, who couldn’t care less about Brexit and only wants to stuff his pockets, because his is the kind of administration (populist, or semi-Bonapartist) that could push Brexit through while telling anyone who didn’t like it to shut up and take it. Of course that entailed (for all Johnson’s tough talk) giving away the farm for the British; he has no sticking point beyond continued colonial control of Northern Ireland. He has been fortunate that Ireland’s recent economic boom has been (as with every semicolonial nation) particularly punctured by the global crisis. But the British empire is falling apart the same way the EU (Fourth Reich) is falling apart. Divergence of bourgeois-nationalist interest as world war approaches.
Surprisingly accurate for one. And I just thought I found you a friend.

What would he have done differently?
Did you read the top post?

Of course not.

For one Nigel may have put the border in the English channel between the continent and Ireland (not the internal Irish border nor the Irish Sea). Their concern their problem. All the UK would have had to do is check for illegals, guns, and drugs crossing from N. Ireland to Britain on an as needed basis.

Ireland had and still doesn't any desire to leave the EU. So you aren't being realistic.

Johnson was a Remainer until he wasn't. And Theresa May was also a Remainer until she wasn't. It would have taken a Nigel Farage to free the UK of the EU quagmire. He came close and the window of opportunity is closing. If the UK goes back to the EU that will be on them.

I do like the insight into the heart of a traitor you lefties show time and again on PJ. It fleshes out the profile.

That is a flat out LIE.
Show where he was against it.

It failed to deliver
It created a quagmire
Because of it, we are witnessing the UK dissolve before our eyes.

Brexit is a failure.

To your ilk, the American's Trumpery, English Brexiteers, French and Hungarian authoritarian fascist, betraying your country through lies is just how your kind roll.

It's a failure because Nigel Farage didn't get the job to execute the Brexit.

Here's some more.

In 2003, he told the House of Commons: “I am not by any means an ultra-Eurosceptic. In some ways, I am a bit of a fan of the European Union. If we did not have one, we would invent something like it.”

In the same debate he looked forward to the expansion of the EU, adding: “I do not know whether any honourable Members are foolish enough to oppose eventual Turkish membership of the European Union.”

Compare that to the Vote Leave campaign that Mr Johnson helped run in 2016, which was criticised for running advertisements warning about mass immigration if Turkey was allowed to join the bloc.

In or out?

As late as February 7 2016, Boris Johnson was still talking about “deciding how to vote” in the upcoming referendum, arguing that it was in “Britain’s geostrategic interests to be pretty intimately engaged” with Europe and warning that leaving the single market would cause “at least some business uncertainty”.

He finally revealed that he was backing leave in another Telegraph column on 21 February. It later emerged that he had secretly written an alternative version of the article in which he reluctantly backed remain instead.

Mr Johnson said he wrote the unpublished version as a mental exercise, calling it “semi-parodic”.

But just a few months earlier, in 2015, he said: “I think that there is a very valid future for this country not in the EU. It’s not my preference, because there are some downsides.”

Read his op-ed linked in your article.
He was clearly pro Brexit.
