In the 90's IRS abuses forced congress to defund them and roll back their mandate.

Of course Democrats think they need to put the IRS on steroids. Well, remember the 90's and tell your friends to remember the 90's and how the IRS needs to be kept in its place. Shit, under Obama they did their dirty deeds. Like those bastards need more money and more power over our lives. Call your rep. and let him know you remember the IRS was Gestapo like.

Someone remind the Democrats what 1776 was ALL about. Taxation!

Dems To Make IRS Larger Than Pentagon, State Department, FBI, and Border Patrol COMBINED
The Democrats are fixing to fill the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) – one of the most reviled government agencies – with more bureaucrats than the Pentagon, FBI, State Department, and Border Patrol combined.

If the so-called Inflation Reduction Act passes, the IRS would receive $80 billion, a 600% increase from 2021, where they received $12.6 billion.

It would also add an additional 87,000 employees — more than doubling the current IRS workforce.

“Those IRS agents are designed to come after you, they’re not designed to come after the billionaires and the big corporations. They’re designed to come after small businesses and working families across this country,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) warned on Sunday.

“The Democrats are making the IRS bigger than the Pentagon, plus the Department of State, plus the FBI, plus the Border Patrol combined. This is a massive power grab.”

The Pentagon employees about 27,000 people, the State Department employs over 77,000. The FBI has 35,000 employees, while the Border Patrol has just under 20,000 agents.

“I introduced an amendment to say, ‘don’t create 87,000 new IRS agents’ — every Democrat voted ‘no,'” Cruz said. “They are bound and determined to try to ram this bill through.”

According to several budget analyses, Cruz’s remarks appear to be accurate.

From the Washington Free Beacon:

The additional IRS funding is integral to the Democrats’ reconciliation package. A Congressional Budget Office analysis found the hiring of new IRS agents would result in more than $200 billion in additional revenue for the federal government over the next decade. More than half of that funding is specifically earmarked for “enforcement,” meaning tax audits and other responsibilities such as “digital asset monitoring.”
Additionally, the bulk of the new revenue from IRS audits would come from the middle class, not the wealthy upper class, as the Democrats have claimed.

“The majority of new revenue from IRS audits and scrutiny will come from those making less than $200,000 a year, according to a study from the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation,” The Beacon reported. “The committee found that just 4 to 9 percent of money raised will come from those making more than $500,000, contrary to Democrats’ claims that new IRS agents are necessary to target millionaires and billionaires who hide income.”

But according to Democrat Sen. Ben Cardin (Md.), you have nothing to fear — if you have nothing to hide.

“If there’s no reason to be fearful, and if you paid your taxes and if you complied with our laws, you should want to make sure everyone else does that,” Cardin said on Fox News Sunday.

If that wasn’t enough, the “Inflation Reduction Act” will actually exacerbate the soaring inflation America is currency suffering by adding hundreds of billions of dollars in new spending on energy, healthcare, and climate change initiatives, according to the Committee for a Responsible Budget.

It’s almost as if the Democrats want to see how badly they can lose in the upcoming midterm elections.

I thought y'all wanted the police to be funded. Now you want them defunded...
Can't have it both ways.
1) The IRS is not the police of a constitutional republic. They are the king's men taking from the taxpayers. Taxpayers looking for a Robin Hood to return to them what is theirs.

2) The IRS abuses prior to Internal Revenue Service Restructuring and Reform Act of 1998 was fascist political violence and monarchical in its extortionist nature. Only progressives (globalist-communist scum) with their progressive tax values could defend them and want them back. Income tax should be a flat tax (say 15-17%) for everybody so that we can all have equal protection under the law. No child deductions or amortization of industrial equipment. None of that candy store shit rife for political corruption favors where billion dollar companies pay zero taxes.

The IRS fight crimes... therefore police.
