... the number of posters declined dramatically since the Big Steal and then again with the jailing of the Sixers [Did I say jailing? I meant imprisoning. They proudly earned jailing but not imprisoning].

It is a harbinger of great turmoil when the debate and conversation is so greatly reduced. If I was a Dem I'd be very worried and not gloating at this point. I say good. It is time for some major historical resolutions to transpire. Dangerous times ahead.

Na bruh. There is just isn't a lot of controversial topics right now. It's why Biden got elected. America was exhausted from the manufactured controversy, and trolling. Politics was beginning to feel like a professional wrestling match. America wanted a president who knows when to STFU.

You have to take some rather insane positions to stir up an argument. I.e. it's a harbinger of great turmoil, that there aren't a lot of good political fights going on.

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.

Lol.

No no. It's good to pretend..

Crisis ...crisis...
I must say, it IS good that all of those things that many posters here - as well as our beloved media - highlighted as crises are no longer of concern (other than how they can be attributed to “Trump!!!”).

January 6? All day, every day - to the point of House investigations and subpoenas, and penalties. Profound, unprecedented crime rate spikes? Yawn.

There are as many issues to discuss/lambaste as there ever were and perhaps more…but partisan hackery precludes such. Mere months ago, these flopshoes were screeching about the bloody Logan Act. The LOGAN ACT!!

Yeah…no crises. And all things must rise to the level of existential crisis to merit robust, spirited debate and controversy.

Like every. Single. Other. Thing… it’s all political party. All of it.

The sooner you realize that this forum is largely populated by unserious incurious partisan shills, the greater your understanding will be as to why so many offer NOTHING substantive - let alone any standard of conduct that applies consistently.

One thing that will be interesting to watch (and it IS coming) is the continued growth in crime rates. As inflation continues to spike…as scarcity of available goods continues (empty shelves)… as the sloths continue to NOT enter the workforce and opt for paid “free time” - the already HUGE spike in crime rates is going to explode. Democrat loathing of cops has caused police forces to be woefully understaffed in many cities.
Gas meets fire.

And you can bet that any acknowledgment, discussion, critique of this will be met with some combination of silence and “Trump!!!”.

Because that is how the incurious, unserious roll.

And then we have those who don't do anything but post memes and copy-n-paste links. Even a caveman can do that. When that's what I want to read, I don't have to come here. I know how/where to find that myself. Don't need a middleman.

Go back, read post #3 then open your eyes to any of the things mentioned and you won't have to pretend anymore.

The pretense comes in from those who seem to think that having the country turn socialist is just fine as long as there are still some freebies from the gov't. As that phases out and we are left with a population that cannot fend for itself you may regret giving up the freedoms that will have been lost in the process.

I agree with you 100%. I also think the opposite is true too, in that they weren't crises for the Republican party and now all of a sudden they are

We're in opposite land. Bad is good good is bad depending on the party. Same old game. Round and round. Wash rinse repeat

No. The pretense comes from those who pretend that that list and post number 3 didn't exist before Biden took office. That's complete bullshit. You know it. I know it. Everybody reading it knows it.

Pretending that they somehow came to the fore only when Biden took office, is a silly trite game worthy of children. The only exception perhaps being the rise in inflation. However it's precursors have been brewing for a long time.

True enough. No doubt about it - take the debt, for example. Good luck finding a single left-of-centerer here who can/will admit to such, though. Self-awareness, introspection, reciprocity really isn’t their thing.
I do think that, over and above every other issue, there are two key issues on which both parties had better focus -
1) Crime/policing
2) Inflation/availability of goods

You hit Americans where their family safety and access to goods is concerned and you will be sent packing. Whoever is best able to address those things in earnest, tangibly, substantively - without going down agenda-laden rabbit trails - will win big.

(By “agenda-laden rabbit trails”, I mean tangential tired, partisan controversial sidebars…like “gun control” as key to address of crime problem when people see cops are profoundly understaffed…and that too many sit idle rather than being occupied with actual work, and so forth). Politically, our hack representatives always seek to nibble around the edges of substantial problems where those edges suit existing agenda. Media and partisan posters always follow their lead and ape the same old stuff. Then…you get smoked in ‘22 and ‘24 if you don’t actually do the big stuff.

Americans are about to get hit hard. Free check ending, goods increasingly scarce and expensive, winter coming ..

Shit show ...

We are on the way to becoming a 3rd world nation. That is what happens when you import 3rd world nation values. Not all cultures are created equal and cultures are living breathing things. You can let them die if you don't nurture and maintain your culture.
