We got our butts kicked last week. I am still working on clean up. We had a neighbors tree fall in the high winds and land on our roof. Luckily there wasn’t any serious damage. Guess it was just preparing us for Hurricane season. LOL
There's many trees down around here, more hail damage in places and it was down in uppers 50's this morning and back to mid 90's next week......glad no serious roof damnage and yeah a class on what could be worse

High 80's here, but much cooler than the previous weeks when we were having heat advisories.
A slight thunderstorm is currently underway.
This upcoming week looks really good, a cool front will be moving in here. :)
So ready for some relief from the heat.

It got to 108° today. There was a little rain and thunder/lightning in the area late this evening but not at my house.

I hope the weather situations improve soon at your compound, BD. :)
Our high today will be a nice 79 degrees, lovely temps except for some possible thunderstorms.

Oh of course even though summer has cooked up such storms for all the 7 decades I've lived on this 3rd rock from the sun
Extreme weather patterns are rapidly becoming much more common though.
Sorry, dude. Look on the bright side though - some doofus will milk this as “climate” something or other. Then, he will clamor for more government and more regulations - edicts, decrees, executive orders… We must be protected. We must be RULED!

Hope things settle down there, my friend.
You should be grateful that people more intelligent than you are trying to limit the power of the oil and coal bosses so that you and future generations can be freer to live rich, full lives without the permanent emergency conditions and dictatorial police state that unchecked climate change would inevitably force upon us as a matter of survival.

Rolling up the soaker hose and taking the sprinkler off the other hose tomorrow.
Sounds good. :) It must be a huge relief to finally have a good rain.
We're having rain here today as well and the temps are really nice.

Fall will be here soon, and I will be so ready for it. The extreme heat on an almost daily basis had become boring.

96° today with a heat index of 102°. No rain in the forecast until Monday and that's only a 45% chance. Our drought isn't over.

It was a bit of a rough night here at the coast. Nothing I couldn’t handle. After Hurricane Flo I learned to respect Hurricane’s
