It's time to call Trump/GOP fascists

That is absurd! Hitler was an autocratic dictator - he could call himself the man on the moon if he wanted to. Why would he choose to call himself a "socilist" if he wasn't? He was definitely a central planner and a firm believer in government control of the means of production. You know, exactly like the neo-marxists in the Democratic party...
First off, he wasn't any kind of planner.

Secondly, he wanted to create a plutocracy, using those that weren't wealthy as slaves to enrich himself. The same as the right wing here wants today- just like trump.

Actually he was. And he sure went around telling people what they had to wear, what they could (and couldn't) say, and persecuted his political opposition. That sounds an awful lot like the woke fascists running the Democratic party to me...

The party he infiltrated on behalf of the government called itself "socialist" partly to appeal to the left in northern Germany where the party's middle-class base was allied with the aristocracy against the bourgeoisie in the tradition of the "True Socialists" criticized by Marx, but mostly to trick revolutionary-minded workers into attending their meetings so the Nazis could beat them up. As Hitler moved to take over the party and prepare for the fascist dictatorship, he of course turned on the "socialist" wing of the party, purging the Strasser faction that took "socialism" (in their reactionary sense) seriously.

Throughout the period of the Hitler dictatorship, the government, resting as it did on the mass party, was extremely sensitive to public opinion and used anticapitalist phraseology to mask its antilabor aims.
A mass murdering (and bat shit crazy) iron fisted dictator was "extremely sensitive to public opinion?" Your argument refutes itself!

When Hitler sent SS door to door to record what guns Germans owned it was just so he knew and next time SS showed up at the door they demanded the guns and if not turned over they would threaten to kill the family. (German POW guard's words)

Now Biden is threatening to send covid SS door to door.......it's FUBAR

Hitler’s was not the classic conservative dictatorship that rested on repression alone; it had a pseudo-democratic element expressed in the form of the totalitarian regime that drew the masses into political participation. It was indeed sensitive to public opinion. It is a matter of record, for example, that the regime secretly collected popular opinions on its anti-Semitic initiatives, and withdrew some (most notably the internment of Jewish wives of Christian husbands) when they were too unpopular.

They sold themselves initially as socialists, but dropped any form of socialistic policy to get support from the bankers and industrialists.

He did not confiscate private property and only issued production rules for war time industry...so did every other country at war. The only private property that was taken by the state was that owned by Jews.
Horsepoop! The oligarchs (especially bankers) always support socialism - it is a symbiotic relationship. The socialist pols need people who know how to create money out of thin air and industrialists to develop and execute the government-directed economic plan, while the oligarchs enjoy government protected monopoly power. Go look at which party gets the overwhelming financial support of Wall Street (hint: it's not the Republicans). Socialism never "confiscates private property" (although they certainly aren't shy about helping themselves to whatever anyone earns) - you are conflating socialism and communism. Socialists are content just to control private property for their benefit (so they can live like potentates) and to fund their grand schemes (like wars).

People "participated politically" out of FEAR! Dude, he had a legendary world class repressive police force to keep people pretending to agree (you know, exactly like what the democrats here are doing with the FBI and security agencies - turning them against their political opponents).
