It was said that every president was afraid of J. Edgar Hoover (1895 - 1972) because he kept the crooks, the perverts, and the Communists in line. (Compare Hoover to FBI directors since he died.)

Democrats hated and feared the FBI under J. Edgar Hoover when the FBI actually served private sector Americans instead of covering up for federal government parasites. Now, suddenly, swamp creatures are in love with the FBI, as well as love every cop in federal law enforcement. The love affair is obvious.

Democrats hated J. Edgar Hoover and Joseph McCarthy (1908 - 1957) more than they hated Richard Nixon (1913 - 1994). Hoover’s never-found files on Democrats kept the worst of them in line for decades. Hoover’s death gave Democrats the green light that eventually punished the country with the Clintons, Obama and Biden.

My point. J. Edgar Hoover never did, or said, anything to harm the American people. Every FBI Director after Hoover’s death did everything in their power to harm private sector Americans. In fact, heavyweights in the Democrat Party employ the FBI to protect and advance the very type of people J. Edgar Hoover held in check.

Put it in perspective this way. The men Democrats so hated in the past are long-dead, yet their hatred for the American people remains. The same hatred for the American people will fester and grow among Democrats until they are driven out of power.

He was one of the architects of the Red Terror and decossackization.

Hoover was the most abusive FBI director, who spawned Red Squads and witch-hunts and union purges with the aid of his fascist ally McCarthy. His abuses were reined in, to some extent, not due to his death but due to the fight catalyzed by the Socialist Workers Party lawsuit against the FBI.

Dzerzhinsky, for all his excesses and compromises with the counterrevolution (such as siding with Russian nationalists against minorities such as Poles and Ukrainians, not to mention Cossacks as agreed upon with Lenin and the other leaders) was the most honorable secret police leader in history. Democrats of course hate him and if he is on a U.S. stamp they’re gonna be the 5 golden tickets that the folks distributing the stamps give to their philatelist friends as high-value collectibles, not that a Google search suggested that such could be possible.

In the aftermath of the October Revolution of 1917, Vladimir Lenin, the head of the newly formed U.S.S.R., needed a way to keep the population (and his fellow revolutionaries) in check. His answer was to create the Cheka, an abbreviation of "The All-Russian Emergency Commission for Combating Counter-Revolution and Sabotage." During the Russian Civil War of 1918-1920, the Cheka — led by the one-time Polish aristocrat Felix — arrested, tortured, and executed thousands of citizens. In the course of this "Red Terror," the Cheka perfected the system of summary execution used by subsequent Russian intelligence agencies: a single shot to the back of the victim's neck, preferably in a dark dungeon.

In 1923, the Cheka, still under Dzerzhinsky, mutated into the OGPU (the "Joint State Political Directorate Under the Council of People's Commissars of the U.S.S.R." — Russians have never been good at catchy names). The OGPU operated during a relatively uneventful period in Soviet history (no massive purges, no internal deportations of millions of ethnic minorities), but this agency did preside over the creation of the first Soviet gulags. The OGPU also viciously persecuted religious organizations (including the Russian Orthodox Church) in addition to its usual duties of rooting out dissenters and saboteurs. Unusually for a director of a Soviet intelligence agency, Felix Dzerzhinsky died of natural causes, dropping dead of a heart attack after denouncing leftists to the Central Committee.
