Jan 6 not an insurrection

Governor
Boys and girls, someone has to be charged with insurrection before this harmless romp through the Capitol can be labeled as such.

Reminder: Not one person involved in Jan. 6 riot has been charged with 'insurrection'
Surely, if the rioters’ actions were as seditious and Trump’s foolishness was as dangerous as Democrats have claimed, we’d be seeing criminal charges that reflect the seriousness of those alleged crimes. But that hasn’t happened.

According to the Justice Department, more than 225 defendants had been charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding law enforcement officers; at least 275 defendants have been charged with obstructing a congressional proceeding; and about 40 defendants have been charged with some sort of conspiracy charge.

But, again, no one has been charged with sedition or insurrection.

Perhaps that’s why the vast majority of voters on both the Left and the Right don’t agree with Democrats’ characterization of the Capitol riot as an insurrection. A CBS News poll released this week found that 70% of the people who voted for President Joe Biden and 84% of the people who voted for Trump considered the Capitol riot to be a “protest that went too far” — which is exactly what it was.

Stop the lies. No insurrection.

An overwhelming majority (72%) of Americans believe the people involved in the attack on the Capitol were "threatening democracy," while 1 in 4 Americans believes that the individuals involved were "protecting democracy." Broken down by party identification, Democrats are nearly unanimous (96%) in believing that those involved in the attacks were threatening democracy. Republicans are more split, with 45% saying it was a threat and 52% saying those involved in the riot were "protecting democracy."

Failed attempt at subverting election results, and violent riot.

It was not a harmless romp.

People here need to expand their reading material.

This is a big problem everywhere. Even members of the Supreme Court don't expand their knowledge enough to make proper decisions. If you limit your reading to just a few select sources you won't be balanced in your thinking.

So your solution to people, like judges, deciding in ways you don't like is to accuse them of being narrow minded partisans?

Funny thing...right wingers offer wingnut reading material and avoid less partisan sources...and criticize others for ignoring sites like WingNutDaily or OneAmericaNews or their favorite bloggers...like Tyler Durden.

So when a republican majority in the Supreme Court rules that Texas does not have the standing to file a court case challenging the elections in other states...you think they are being partisan and need to read your sources.

My post was really quite clear. Your comprehension is lacking because you don't want to broaden your knowledge. Lots of folks are like that so you have a lot of company.

Reading your sources will cause brain damage...you absorb conspiracy theories as if they are facts...You do realize that Q is the product of a deranged mind and propagated by like minded people. One America News is not informative, unless you are studying the blind allegiance to Trump. Mike Lindell is not a source of knowledge unless you want to investigate just how gullible some people are.

Have you read the Trump plan to overturn the election?
