Key thing to watch with Mitt in South Carolina...

talking "Chicago politics" a lot.

1. To keep the Palmetto Repubs from remembering HE is a damn Yankee.

2. To harp on the "union thug" theme.

Then watch it completely disappear when he goes to Florida when he starts in with some new theme (that will of course ALSO be echo'ed by the rightwing bloggers).

And?

Good spots both.

He'll do fine on SC and Fla.

Nothing like NH, but you can't have everything.
And when he drops that line after he leaves South Carolina....proves it was just phoney blather.

Now, I realize Mitt being a phoney doesn't bother you...but SOME might notice. :)

In the primaries or general election? In the primaries, there are 12 state contests before Super Tuesday and only 2 of those,SC and FLA,are southern states. Less than half of the Super Tuesday states are southern states and only Romney and Paul are on the ballot in one(VA) of them. The primary/caucus schedule is very favorable for Romney.

A point CB will surely agree with. Once Romney rides out South Carolina (a 2nd place showing would be a "victory" for him, an actual win would END the Republican Primaries by a week from Tuesday)....

it's smoth sailing to the Nomination after that.
