Some University of Wisconsin students are pushing for a statue of Abraham Lincoln to be removed from the Madison campus over his treatment of indigenous groups and black people.
The Black Student Union and the Student Inclusion Coalition, both student organizations, called for the statue's removal in early June, despite Lincoln ending slavery in the United States.
The Black Student Union argues Lincoln's legacy also includes several actions that harmed people of color. He ordered the largest mass execution in U.S. history -- 38 Dakota men by hanging -- and signed the Homestead Act, which gave settlers land forcibly taken from Native Americans, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.
“For him to be at the top of Bascom [Hill] as a powerful placement on our campus, it’s a single-handed symbol of white supremacy,” Black Student Union president Nalah McWhorter told the outlet.

You want to condemn history - Start with the party rooted in white supremacy. That would be your party.
1. I'm a registered independent and a conservative. I left the republican party because it no longer represented conservatism, in my view. Reagan/Bush had quadrupled the national debt and "W" had committed outrageous slander and character assassination aimed at McCain in 2000. I registered as a democrat because otherwise you could not participate in primary elections in Colorado. They ended that in 2016, so I re-registered.
2. Condemn history? Where did I do that?
3. The south was made up of a lot of racists. Many belonged to the democratic party. In 1964 there were only 11 republicans from southern states in the House and Senate...the rest were democrats elected by those racist elements. Now there are over 100 members of congress from those states. The south went from reliably democrat to pretty reliably republican...but where did the racists go? They are still there...they just vote (R).
You went from talking about Lincoln to disbanding the democratic party...

I use the term "fascists" to denote fascism. Your recognition of the nature of the modern fascist left is inconsequential. I never expect fascists to admit to being fascists. Hell, it took decades to finally get leftists to admit to being socialists.
