Frankly, I don't think the news consumer would be doing too badly for herself, if she were to listen to say.....Fox and MSNBC equally, and then form her own conclusions. The "news" is provided by both. For instance, you'd learn that Russia invaded Crimea from either source. It's the embellishment and editorializing that varies.
On the other hand, I continue to be amazed at the number of times right here in this forum, someone will track in some conclusion they were handed by one of their sources and they seem utterly oblivious to any of the counter arguments that are already out there.
Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of either of these sources' markets will limit themselves to that single source.
