The Obama administration has given final approval to Montana's Medicaid expansion waiver, clearing the state to move ahead and expand coverage to as many as 70,000 Montanans. The plan includes a requirement that beneficiaries pay premiums that amount to 2 percent of their income, and that provision required federal government sign-off.

the 20 states that have NOT expanded ACA Medicaid:

Alabama

Florida

Georgia

Idaho

Kansas

Louisiana

Maine

Mississippi

Missouri

Nebraska

North Carolina

Oklahoma

South Carolina

South Dakota

Tennessee

Texas

Utah

Virginia

Wisconsin*

Wyoming

That's why coverage thru the Fed gov'ts exchange went up over 23% in Tennessee. about the same in Oklahoma and Wyoming. Obama doesn't like red states. What a butt hole he is.

you've got that upside down. red states must hate Obama so much that they deny their OWN working poor residents medical insurance/coverage by refusing the ACA Medicaid expansion.

how many red states or states run by republican govs, are in that list of 2o refuseniks?

BS, All these states have MEDICAID. The government cannot afford to subsidize the ACA much longer. It's costing hundreds of billions a year in subsidies. And the money is coming out of Medicare, which people pay for when they are working.

4 sentences, 3 lies.

the working poor aren't eligible for regular Medicaid and they can't afford to purchase insurance even on the exchange. that's what the ACA Medicaid expansion is all about, helping those who WORK have the security of coverage. it's the Christian thing to do.

And the country can't afford to subsidize them. Oh by the way, the state exchanges are folding up like a deck of cards. Let the states handle their own Medicaid and block grant the money and keep the Federal government out of it.

Obamacare Exchanges Shutting Down

About half of the state Obamacare exchanges are facing financial difficulty of varying degrees while total Obamacare enrollment has dropped below 10 million. The entire system is being strangled by simple math: too much money is going out to pay claims and not enough in premiums is coming in. You have to wonder how many insurers would have jumped ship on the state exchanges if not for the risk corridor slush fund.
Twenty-one of twenty-three state co-ops are losing money.

Four exchanges insolvent, 11 receive warning letters . . . and nearly 2 million enrollees aren’t paying their subsidized premiums.
Gosh, who saw this coming? The federal government sets up an artificial market for selling health insurance, sets the prices, subsidizes the premiums, goads people to buy who’ve never before been able to afford it, forbids profits and bans anyone who actually knows what they’re doing from running the darn things.

the state exchanges are shutting down because it's cheaper and easier for the states to direct their residents to the federal exchange. :)

look at the growth in health care jobs with ObamaCare!!!

No, the state exchanges ran out of health care providers that take Medicaid. Many don't take Medicaid patients. So we have more people on Medicaid and fewer providers. It's worse than it was before Obamacare.

Liar? Really?

NEW YORK, March 16 (UPI) -- U.S. patients are finding it difficult to get health services under Medicaid as more doctors drop out of the program over inadequate payments, observers say.
Doctors say reimbursements from Medicaid are so low -- as little as $25 per office visit -- they are losing money on every patient, The New York Times reported Tuesday.
While enrollments in the program are increasing -- 3.3 million people were added last year -- a nationwide trend of state cuts to Medicaid leaves many patients unable to find doctors or dentists who will treat them, the Times said.

I'll paraphrase Donald Trump:

doctor wages are too high.

Who knew conservative you would have any sympathy for students stuck with college debt.

:)
First I say that more doctors are not taking Medicaid patients and you call me a liar. I prove you wrong, so then you say that doctors make too much money, to which I reply that it costs a lot to obtain the education to become a doctor. You completely ignore the fact that I was correct when I said that more doctors are not taking Medicaid patients. Ahhhh the Liberal mine, It is not only ignorant, it might even get you killed by restricting the ability to defend ourselves, like it is in France where 120 people were killed in mass shootings and bombings. If one of those poor souls had a gun, they might have prevented at least some ot the carnage.

After the attacks in France last nite, Hillary doesn't stand a chance of winning the presidency. She couldn't even protect her employees in Benghazi, let alont the whole US ofA.
