My Knowledge Of History Took Form On December 15, 1791

All history before December 15, 1791 was a prelude to the first ten amendments in the U.S. Constitution; so I must ask Mr. Hanson to forgive my ignorance.

Victor Davis Hanson is always informative, and always worth reading. Yesterday’s piece is down by the head with facts:

QUESTION: How corrupt is every well-intentioned public voice? ANSWER: Just as corrupt as the institutions they critique because:

1. They never critique the privilege:

Americans rightfully care about freedom of speech —— not freedom of the press. Private sector freedoms can live very well without freedom of the press, but they will die without ABSOLUTE political freedom of speech.

If Americans want to protect the First Amendment they should start by repealing these four words ——“or of the press” —— so that it reads:

First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The press would still enjoy freedom of speech like the rest of us, but they would have to defend freedom of speech as a matter of self-interest instead of only defending their constitutional privilege while they throw the rest us to Socialist/Communist wolves.

1a. They never critique

The Roman Catholic Church opened the door for today’s parasites when priests were given the confessional-privilege (1813).

2. They never critique the XVI AMENDMENT that pays for media corruption they rail against.

3. They never critique the XVII AMENDMENT that created long-serving U.S. Senators.

4. They never critique U.S. membership in the United Nations.

5. They never critique the U.S. military serving the United Nations.

6. They never critique the Parasite Class per se.

7. They never critique Charity Hustlers that get billions of tax dollars every year.

I identified a few topics public voices dare not critique. There is lot more for conservatives to add to the list.

First Amendment

There is a possibility that five justices will finally critique involuntary servitude in their ruling:

8th Amendment

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

13th Amendment

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

It has been a long time coming:

The comment came during opening arguments before the Supreme Court on a case involving a Christian web designer who said she would refuse to produce a personalized website advertising a same-sex wedding if a client came to her seeking such a site.

In 2018, the Court handed a narrow victory to cake artist Jack Phillips in Masterpiece Cakeshop, ruling that the Colorado Civil Rights Commission acted with unusual religious animus in 2012 when it ordered Phillips and his staff to receive anti-discrimination training [INVOLUNTARY SERVITUDE]. However, the decision did not make a major judgment on the compelled speech issue at the heart of the case, which the Court is finally expected to address in the 303 Creative case currently before it.
